  • A Design Architecture For Sensor Data Fusion Systems With Application To Automotive Safety
  • 2008
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of 15th World Congress on ITS.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper we present a modular sensor data fusion functional architecture, tailored for development of automotive active safety systems. The purpose of the fusion system is to provide active safety applications with accurate knowledge regarding the environment surrounding the vehicle. Our proposed functional architecture is designed in such way that the fusion system is easy to maintain, upgrade and re-use. These aspects are assessed by the use of a reference implementation which is evaluated in terms of tracking performance and scalability. Furthermore, the reference implementation demonstrates that a system can be implemented using rapid prototyping tools, from which we can automatically generate c-code.

  • Joint driver intention classification and tracking of vehicles
  • 2006
  • Ingår i: Proc. Nonlinear Statistical Signal Processing Workshop, NSSPW.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this paper we present and validate a new modelling frameworkfor joint driver intention classification and tracking ofvehicles; a framework derived for automotive active safetysystems. Such systems require reliable predictions of the trafficsituation to act in time when a dangerous situation occur. Our proposal has two main benefits. First, it incorporatesthe intention of the driver into the vehicle motion model andthereby improves the prediction capability. The result is amultiple motion model where each model corresponds to aspecific driver intent. Second, the connection between differentdriver plans and corresponding motion model enables aformal classification of the most likely driver intention. Tovalidate our concept, we apply the motion model on real datausing a particle filter implementation. Initial studies indicatepromising performance.

  • Tracking vehicles using radar detections
  • 2007
  • Ingår i: 2007 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, IV 2007; Istanbul; Turkey; 13 June 2007 through 15 June 2007. - : IEEE. - 1424410681 ; , s. 296-302
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper is concerned with the problem of tracking vehicles using radar detections. In particular, we deal with problems where multiple detections are received from each target. According to recent studies, automotive radar sensors often receive detections from a discrete set of reflection centers. From these results, we develop a family of sensor models suitable for tracking. A significant difficulty in performing tracking using models from this family is that it involves solving a data association problem with a large number of association hypotheses. To reduce the complexity of this problem, we propose a framework where similar hypotheses are joined into groups. Following this approximation, basic data association algorithms can be implemented and initial studies using both simulated data and real measurements show a promising performance.

  • SEFS – Results on Sensor Data Fusion System Development
  • 2009
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of the 16th ITS World Congress. - Linköping : Linköping University Electronic Press. - 9781617385896 ; , s. 3483-3490
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • For driver assistance systems, a thorough perception of the environment becomes more and more important. Often, sensor data fusion systems (comprising typically sensors such as radar and vision systems) are employed, to get an improved picture of the host vehicle's surroundings. The SEFS project is part of the Swedish IVSS program. The project focuses on methods and architectures for fusion of sensor data. In this paper, some of the main results are highlighted. Findings of the SEFS project include a data fusion structure and architecture, tracking methods as well as vehicle and road models plus related parameter estimation.

  • Joint probabilistic data association filter for partially unresolved target groups
  • 2010
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Information Fusion. - 9780982443811
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In many surveillance problems the observedobjects are so closely spaced that they cannot always be resolvedby the sensor(s). Typical examples for partially unresolvedmeasurements are the surveillance of aircraft in formation, and convoy tracking for ground surveillance. Ignoringthe limited sensor resolution in a tracking systemmay lead to degraded tracking performance, in particularunwanted track-losses. In this paper, we further discuss arecently presented extension of the resolution model by Kochand van Keuk to the case of arbitrary object numbers, andit is shown how that model can be incorporated into theJoint Probabilistic Data Association Filter (JPDAF). Further, through simulations of a ground target tracking scenario,it is shown how the incorporation of the resolutionmodel improves tracking performance when targets are partiallyunresolved.

  • Multi-Target Tracking with Partially Unresolved Measurements
  • 2010
  • Ingår i: 40th Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft fur Informatik e.V. (GI): Service Science - Neue Perspektiven fur die Informatik 40th Annual Conf. of the German Informatics Society (GI): Service Science - New Perspectives in Computer Science INFORMATIK 2010; Leipzig; Germany; 27 September 2010 through 1 October 2010. - 9783885792703 ; 2, s. 913-918
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The problem of limited sensor resolution, although usually ignored in targettracking, occurs in multi-target scenarios whenever the target distance falls below thesize of the sensor resolution cell. Typical examples are the surveillance of aircraft information, and convoy tracking for ground surveillance. Ignoring the limited sensorresolution in a tracking system may lead to degraded tracking performance, in particularunwanted track-losses. In this paper, an extension of the resolution model byKoch and van Keuk to the case of arbitrary object numbers is discussed. The model isincorporated into the Joint Probabilistic Data Association Filter (JPDAF) and appliedto a simulated scenario with partially unresolved targets.

  • Multitarget sensor resolution model for arbitrary target numbers
  • 2010
  • Ingår i: Signal and Data Processing of Small Targets, Proc. of SPIE. ; 7698
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • In many surveillance problems the observed objects are so closely spaced that they cannot always be resolvedby the sensor(s). Typical examples for partially unresolved measurements are the surveillance of aircraft information, and convoy tracking for ground surveillance. Ignoring the limited sensor resolution in a trackingsystem may lead to degraded tracking performance, in particular unwanted track-losses. In this paper we extendthe resolution model by Koch and van Keuk, given for two partially unresolved objects, to the case of arbitraryobject numbers. We also derive the effects of the resolution model to the multi-target likelihood function andthe possible data associations. Further, it is shown how the model can be integrated into the Joint ProbabilisticData Association Filter (JPDAF).

  • A Systematic Review of Longitudinal Trajectories of Mental Health Problems in Children with Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Journal of Developmental and Physical Disabilities. - : Springer. - 1056-263X .- 1573-3580. ; 36, s. 203-242
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • To review the longitudinal trajectories - and the factors influencing their development - of mental health problems in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Systematic review methods were employed. Searches of six databases used keywords and MeSH terms related to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, mental health problems, and longitudinal research. After the removal of duplicates, reviewers independently screened records for inclusion, extracted data (outcomes and influencing factors), and evaluated the risk of bias. Findings were tabulated and synthesized using graphs and a narrative. Searches identified 94,662 unique records, from which 49 publications were included. The median publication year was 2015. Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder were the most commonly included population in retrieved studies. In almost 50% of studies, trajectories of mental health problems changed by < 10% between the first and last time point. Despite multiple studies reporting longitudinal trajectories of mental health problems, greater conceptual clarity and consideration of the measures included in research is needed, along with the inclusion of a more diverse range of populations of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
