  • Web contents protection, secure execution and authorized distribution
  • 2010
  • Ingår i: Proceedings - 5th International Multi-Conference on Computing in the Global Information Technology, ICCGI 2010. - 9780769541815 ; , s. 157-162
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper describes the design and implementation of a comprehensive system for protection of Web contents. In this design, new security components and extended security features are introduced in order to protect Web contents ageist various Web attacks. Components and extended security features are: protection of Web pages using strong encryption techniques, encapsulation of Web contents and resources in PKCS#7, extended secure execution environment for Java Web Server, eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) based authorization policies, and secure Web proxy. Design and implementation of our system is based on the concepts of generic security objects and component-based architecture that makes it compatible with exiting Web infrastructures without any modification.

  • Nanostructuring and coherency strain in multicomponent hard coatings
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: APL Materials. - : American Institute of Physics (AIP). - 2166-532X. ; 2:11, s. 116104-
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Lattice resolved and quantitative compositional characterizations of the microstructure in TiCrAlN wear resistant coatings emerging at elevated temperatures are performed to address the spinodal decomposition into nanometer-sized coherent cubic TiCr- and Al-rich domains. The domains coarsen during annealing and at 1100 ºC, the Al-rich domains include a metastable cubic Al(Cr)N phase containing 9 at.% Cr and a stable hexagonal AlN phase containing less than 1 at.% Cr. The cubic and the hexagonal phases form strained semi-coherent interfaces with each other.

  • Growth and Mechanical Behavior of Nanoscale Structures in ZrN/Zr0.63Al0.37N Multilayers
  • Annan publikation (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • Structure and mechanical properties of monolithic and nanoscale multilayers of ZrN/Zr0.63Al0.37N are investigated as a function of Zr0.63Al0.37N layer thickness. ZrN/Zr0.63Al0.37N multilayers were deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering on MgO (001) substrates at a temperature of 700 °C. Monolithic Zr0.63Al0.37N film shows a chemically segregated nanostructure of cubic-ZrN and wurtzite-AlN rich domains with incoherent interfaces. Three dimensional atom probe measurements reveal comparable chemical segregation between monolithic and multilayer Zr0.63Al0.37N film. The multilayers show systematic changes in nanostructure as a function of Zr0.63Al0.37N layer thickness resulting in mechanical properties such as hardness and fracture resistance being tunable. A maximum hardness of 34 GPa is achieved with 10 nm Zr0.63Al0.37N layer thickness having semi-coherent interfaces between wurtzite-AlN and cubic-ZrN rich domains. Higher fracture resistance is achieved at 2nm Zr0.63Al0.37N where AlN rich domains are epitaxially stabilized in the metastable cubic phase.

  • Climate change impact uncertainty assessment and adaptations for sustainable maize production using multi-crop and climate models
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: Environmental Science and Pollution Research. - : Springer. - 0944-1344 .- 1614-7499. ; 29, s. 18967-18988
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Future climate scenarios are predicting considerable threats to sustainable maize production in arid and semi-arid regions. These adverse impacts can be minimized by adopting modern agricultural tools to assess and develop successful adaptation practices. A multi-model approach (climate and crop) was used to assess the impacts and uncertainties of climate change on maize crop. An extensive field study was conducted to explore the temporal thermal variations on maize hybrids grown at farmer’s fields for ten sowing dates during two consecutive growing years. Data about phenology, morphology, biomass development, and yield were recorded by adopting standard procedures and protocols. The CSM-CERES, APSIM, and CSM-IXIM-Maize models were calibrated and evaluated. Five GCMs among 29 were selected based on classification into different groups and uncertainty to predict climatic changes in the future. The results predicted that there would be a rise in temperature (1.57–3.29 °C) during the maize growing season in five General Circulation Models (GCMs) by using RCP 8.5 scenarios for the mid-century (2040–2069) as compared with the baseline (1980–2015). The CERES-Maize and APSIM-Maize model showed lower root mean square error values (2.78 and 5.41), higher d-index (0.85 and 0.87) along reliable R2 (0.89 and 0.89), respectively for days to anthesis and maturity, while the CSM-IXIM-Maize model performed well for growth parameters (leaf area index, total dry matter) and yield with reasonably good statistical indices. The CSM-IXIM-Maize model performed well for all hybrids during both years whereas climate models, NorESM1-M and IPSL-CM5A-MR, showed less uncertain results for climate change impacts. Maize models along GCMs predicted a reduction in yield (8–55%) than baseline. Maize crop may face a high yield decline that could be overcome by modifying the sowing dates and fertilizer (fertigation) and heat and drought-tolerant hybrids.
