- Inom projektet Biokombi Rya har ett flertal olika forskargrupper samarbetat för att studera system¬effekterna av förgasning av biobränsle ur olika aspekter. Syftet med projektet är att öka kunskapen om biobränsleförgasning i Sverige samt att utreda förutsättningar för att sådana anläggningar ska vara ekonomiskt och miljömässigt intressanta. En referensgrupp har varit kopplad till projektet där förutsättningar, resultat och slutsatser har behandlats.I denna underlagsrapport har slutrapporterna från projektets delprojekt samlats. De beskriver förutsättningar, metodansatser, använda data och resultat utförligt och utgör på så sätt ett viktigt komplement till den mer övergripande beskrivningen i projektets syntesrapport. De delrapporter som ingår har valts för att täcka in samtliga delar av projektet som är av allmänt intresse. Projektresultat som publicerats på annat sätt berörs dock mer kortfattat.Projektet Biokombi Rya har pågått under två år (2005-2006) och drivits av Chalmers EnergiCentrum. Förutom de omfattande analysinsatser som författarna till denna rapport står för, har Avdelningen för kemisk teknologi vid KTH, Siemens Industrial Turbines AB och Göteborg Energi AB bidragit med expertstöd. CIT Industriell Energianalys, med undertecknad som projektledare, har stått för projektledning och koordination.Projektet har finansierats av Energimyndigheten, Göteborg Energis forsknings¬stiftelse samt Göteborg Energi AB.

- Literature and fiction, in various forms, both textual and oral, have an undeniable place in human growth and education: they are a constitutive part of our reality. This raises the question: how and what do we learn from fiction? Even when fiction does not mirror reality directly, can it still, explore, express, and teach us about the world? If so, how? In this special issue education becomes something of a link between the fictional and the real. Approaching fiction to learn from it, or learn with it, enables us to examine our experiences and to transform them in our everyday lives. The special issue, if perhaps for the most part indirectly, testifies to the various ways love of literature often expresses love of truth. Not because all the articles describe or use the notions of "truth," "fiction," "literature," and "learning" in the same way, but because they offer an extension of these concepts.

- Theorizing Meaning Through Examples: Ordinary Language Criticism, “Sam-vett” and the Difficulty of RealityIn this article I set out to exemplify how one can, from within the tradition of Ordinary Language Criticism (OLC), theorize about literary meaning through concrete interpretative work. I proceed by attending to what I take to be a particular interpretive hard case, namely, the Swedish author and activist Sara Lidman’s (1923-2004) notion of “sam-vett”. Or more precisely: I attend to one specific usage of that word, namely the male protagonist Didrik Mårtensson’s usage of the word in Lidman’s novel Järnkronan (1985). Lidman invented the word “sam-vett” in the early 1980s but never defined it; she simply put it to use in various texts and contexts. By comparing how the problematic nature of “sam-vett” presents itself for Didrik in Järnkronan, with the Wittgensteinian philosopher Cora Diamond’s notion of “the difficulty of reality”, I argue that Lidman’s “sam-vett” – in this specific usage – expresses an experience of encountering something ineffable. In my comparative reading I argue that rather than offering a road to a more-than-human communality and knowledge beyond words, however, Didrik’s usage of “sam-vett” expresses a fantasy of being able to escape a guilty conscience through the letting go of sanity and sense-making altogether. So, while Didrik encounters “a difficulty of reality” that shoulders him out (at least partially) from language his attempt at imagining a non-linguistic pan-species community in the name of “sam-vett” nevertheless fails. Instead, Didrik’s “sam-vett” becomes something of a false idol, a delirious idea that only appears to make sense.
