  • An Interoperability Classification Framework for Method Chunk Repositories
  • 2007
  • Ingår i: Advances in Information Systems Development: New Methods and Practice for the Networked Society. - Boston, MA : Springer. - 9780387708010 - 9780387708027 ; , s. 153-166
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The competitiveness and efficiency of an enterprise is dependent on its ability to interact with other enterprises and organisations. In this context interoperability is defined as the ability of business processes as well as enterprise software and applications to interact. Interoperability remains a problem and there are numerous issues to be resolved in different situations. We propose method engineering as an approach to organise interoperability knowledge in a method chunk repository. In order to organise the knowledge repository we need an interoperability classification framework associated to it. In this paper we propose a generic architecture for a method chunk repository, elaborate on a classification framework and associate it to some existing bodies of knowledge. We also show how the proposed framework can be applied in a working example.

  • Integrating Requirement and Solution Modelling: Approach and Experiences
  • 2007
  • Ingår i: The 12th Workshop on Exploring Modelling Methods for Information Systems Analysis and Design (EMMSAD).
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We discuss how an Enterprise Modelling approach, namely C3S3P, has been applied in an automotive supplier company. The paper concentrates on the phases of the C3S3P development process such as Concept Study, Scaffolding, Scoping, and Requirements Modelling. We have also presented the concept of task pattern which has been used in the MAPPER project for capturing, documenting and sharing best practices concerning business processes in organisation. Within this application context we have analysed our experiences concerning stakeholder participation and task pattern development.

  • The Early Phases of Enterprise Knowledge Modelling : Practices and Experiences from Scaffolding and Scoping
  • 2008
  • Ingår i: The Practice of Enterprise Modeling, First IFIP WG 8.1 Working Conference, PoEM 2008, Stockholm, Sweden, November 12-13, 2008. - Heidelberg : Springer. - 9783540892175 ; , s. 1-14
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Enterprise modelling concepts, methods or technologies have been found useful for a variety of application areas and purposes. The experience report presented in this paper is from the area of enterprise knowledge modelling with an application case in automotive supplier industries. The purpose of the overall modelling process is to create an active knowledge model. The scope of the paper are the early phases of the enterprise knowledge modelling process, called scaffolding phase and scoping phase. An important observation is the need for continuous and intertwined development of meta-model, model, modelling process and modelling team.
