    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2021 is the ninth annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of 71 trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in recent years. The VOT2021 challenge was composed of four sub-challenges focusing on different tracking domains: (i) VOT-ST2021 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB, (ii) VOT-RT2021 challenge focused on "real-time" short-term tracking in RGB, (iii) VOT-LT2021 focused on long-term tracking, namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance and (iv) VOT-RGBD2021 challenge focused on long-term tracking in RGB and depth imagery. The VOT-ST2021 dataset was refreshed, while VOT-RGBD2021 introduces a training dataset and sequestered dataset for winner identification. The source code for most of the trackers, the datasets, the evaluation kit and the results along with the source code for most trackers are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • The first visual object tracking segmentation VOTS2023 challenge results
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: 2023 IEEE/CVF International conference on computer vision workshops (ICCVW). - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. - 9798350307443 - 9798350307450 ; , s. 1788-1810
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking Segmentation VOTS2023 challenge is the eleventh annual tracker benchmarking activity of the VOT initiative. This challenge is the first to merge short-term and long-term as well as single-target and multiple-target tracking with segmentation masks as the only target location specification. A new dataset was created; the ground truth has been withheld to prevent overfitting. New performance measures and evaluation protocols have been created along with a new toolkit and an evaluation server. Results of the presented 47 trackers indicate that modern tracking frameworks are well-suited to deal with convergence of short-term and long-term tracking and that multiple and single target tracking can be considered a single problem. A leaderboard, with participating trackers details, the source code, the datasets, and the evaluation kit are publicly available at the challenge website1

  • Effect of sintering method on properties of nanosilver paste
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: 2017 IMAPS Nordic Conference on Microelectronics Packaging, NordPac 2017, Goteborg, Sweden, 18-20 June 2017. ; , s. 186-189
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Nanoscale silver paste has a good application prospect in heat dissipation of high-power chips due to the characteristics of low temperature sintering and high temperature service. The properties of the nanosilver paste including thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and shear strength are affected greatly by the sintering process. The influence of different sintering methods on the performance of the nanosilver paste was studied in this article. The nanosilver paste with 80.5 wt% nano-scale silver particles, 1.5 wt% submicron-scale SiC particles with Ag coating, 0.9 wt% dispersion agent, 10 wt% organic carrier and 7.1 wt% diluting agent was sintered at 260°C for 30 min with three different methods, heating table sintering, heating furnace sintering, and mixed sintering. The samples obtained by mixed sintering process have higher thermal conductivity than the ones obtained by heating furnace sintering method and heating table sintering method. The effect of sintering methods on shear strength of nanosilver paste was also investigated subsequently. Shear testing equipment was used to measure the shear strength of the samples gained by heating table sintering, heating furnace sintering, and air dry oven sintering. The maximum shear strength was obtained for the samples by heating table sintering method. The shear strength of samples by air dry oven sintering method was the minimum one.

  • Mechanical property and reliability of bimodal nano-silver paste with Ag-coated SiC particles
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Soldering and Surface Mount Technology. - 1758-6836 .- 0954-0911. ; 31:4, s. 193-202
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • © 2019, Emerald Publishing Limited. Purpose: This study aims to develop a bimodal nano-silver paste with improved mechanical property and reliability. Silicon carbide (SiC) particles coated with Ag were introduced in nano-silver paste to improve bonding strength between SiC and Ag particles and enhance high-temperature stability of bimodal nano-silver paste. The effect of sintering parameters such as sintering temperature, sintering time and the proportion of SiC particles on mechanical property and reliability of sintered bimodal nano-silver structure were investigated. Design/methodology/approach: Sandwich structures consist of dummy chips and copper substrates with nickel and silver coating bonded by nano-silver paste were designed for shear testing. Shear strength testing was conducted to study the influence of SiC particles proportions on the mechanical property of sintered nano-silver joints. The reliability of the bimodal nano-silver paste was evaluated experimentally by means of shear test for samples subjected to thermal aging test at 150°C and humidity and temperature testing at 85°C and 85 per cent RH, respectively. Findings: Shear strength was enhanced obviously with the increase of sintering temperature and sintering time. The maximum shear strength was achieved for nano-silver paste sintered at 260°C for 10 min. There was a negative correlation between the proportion of SiC particles and shear strength. After thermal aging testing and humidity and temperature testing for 240 h, the shear strength decreased a little. High-temperature stability and high-hydrothermal stability were improved by the addition of SiC particles. Originality/value: Submicron-scale SiC particles coated with Ag were used as alternative materials to replace part of nano-silver particles to prepare bimodal nano-silver paste due to its high thermal conductivity and excellent mechanical property.

  • Numerical investigations of endwall film cooling design of a turbine vane using four-holes pattern
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat and Fluid Flow. - 0961-5539. ; 32:6, s. 2177-2197
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Purpose: Endwall film cooling protects vane endwall by coolant coverage, especially at the leading edge (LE) region and vane-pressure side (PS) junction region. Strong flow impingement and complex vortexaa structures on the vane endwall cause difficulties for coolant flows to cover properly. This work aims at a full-scale arrangement of film cooling holes on the endwall which improves coolant efficiency in the LE region and vane-PS junction region. Design/methodology/approach: The endwall film holes are grouped in four-holes constructal patterns. Three ways of arranging the groups are studied: based on the pressure field, the streamlines or the heat transfer field. The computational analysis is done with the k-ω SST model after validating the turbulence model properly. Findings: By clustering the film cooling holes in four-holes patterns, the ejection of the coolant flow is stronger. The four-holes constructal patterns also improve the local coolant coverage in the “tough” regions, such as the junction region of the PS and the endwall. The arrangement based on streamlines distribution can effectively improve the coolant coverage and the arrangement based on the heat transfer distribution (HTD) has benefits by reducing high-temperature regions on the endwall. Originality/value: A full-scale endwall film cooling design is presented considering interactions of different film cooling holes. A comprehensive model validation and mesh independence study are provided. The cooling holes pattern on the endwall is designed as four-holes constructal patterns combined with several arrangement choices, i.e. by pressure, by heat transfer and by streamline distributions.

  • Heat Transfer Enhancement of Regenerative Cooling Channel with Pyramid Lattice Sandwich Structures
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Heat Transfer Engineering. - : Informa UK Limited. - 0145-7632 .- 1521-0537. ; 44:14, s. 1271-1285
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • To meet the requirements of high heat transfer efficiency and light weight, the pyramid lattice structures are applied to the regenerative cooling design of scramjets. This study numerically investigates heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of kerosene in a regenerative channel with pyramid lattice sandwich structures. At the same porosity, the maximum wall temperature of the pyramid lattice sandwich regenerative cooling channel decreases by 30%. With increased porosity, the cooling capacity of the pyramid regenerative cooling channel decreases gradually. The numerical results show that a complex secondary flow appears in the flow field in the pyramid lattice structures. In the downstream region of each strut, a spiral vortex is formed which accelerates the flow velocity approaching the wall with heat transfer enhancement. Because of the disturbing effect of the strut, a high turbulent kinetic energy region is formed in the upstream region of each strut and the heat transfer is enhanced. In general, the local heat transfer in the upstream region of the pyramid strut is better than that in the downstream region. For pyramid lattice structures, the cooling structures with high convective heat transfer and relatively low pressure drop can be obtained by optimization of the design parameters.

  • Co-hydrothermal carbonization of polyvinyl chloride and pyrolysis carbon black for the preparation of clean solid fuels
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Fuel. - : Elsevier BV. - 0016-2361 .- 1873-7153. ; 361
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Large quantities of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and waste tires generated daily have the disadvantage of high content of harmful elements. They cannot be directly applied to blast furnace ironmaking. In this study, Cl in PVC and Zn in pyrolysis products of waste tires (pyrolysis carbon black, CB) were effectively removed by co-hydrothermal carbonization (co-HTC). The results indicated the dechlorination and dezincification efficiencies of co-HTC were improved by 2.78 % and 64.69 %, respectively, compared to HTC. Compositional analysis shows that the ash content of co-HTC is reduced by at least 7.67 % compared to conventional HTC. The hydrochar produced by co-HTC has an higher heating value (HHV) ranging from 30.67 to 34.13 MJ/kg. Results of physical and chemical characteristics analysis showed increasing the proportion of CB can reduce the C–H and -CHCl- functional groups and improve the carbon orderliness of the hydrochar. Combustion characteristics and kinetic analyses show that the combustibility of hydrochar increases with an increase in the proportion of PVC added to the co-HTC. The thermal stability and activation energy of the hydrochar increase with the addition of CB. Overall, this study has removed major harmful elements from PVC and CB through co-HTC, converting both into high-quality solid fuels that can be utilised in blast furnace ironmaking.

  • Hydrothermal carbonization mechanism of agricultural waste under different conditions : An experimental and ReaxFF molecular dynamics study
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Journal of the Energy Institute. - : Elsevier BV. - 1743-9671 .- 1746-0220. ; 110
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Different hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) conditions will affect the yield, physicochemical properties and application of agricultural waste hydrochar. The hydrochar prepared under different HTC conditions was systematically studied through various experimental methods, and the experimental results were further verified and explained by ReaxFF molecular dynamics method. The results show that the higher HTC temperature, higher liquid-solid ratio and longer reaction time can reduce the yield of solid product. The volatile content of rice straw (RS) hydrochar decreased with the progresses of HTC, but the fixed carbon content increased. The HTC process is accompanied by the breakage of C-H bonds, C-O bonds, C-C bonds and O-H bonds, with C-O bond breaks comprising the most. The HTC process is also accompanied by the C-C bonds regeneration, indicating that decomposition and polymerization reactions coexist in the HTC process. At higher HTC temperature and longer reaction time, RS hydrochar showed lower specific surface area and porosity. The effect of the HTC temperature is the largest, while the effect of holding time is the smallest. Therefore, to expand the potential use of RS hydrochar, it is important to thoroughly investigate the influence of HTC conditions on the physicochemical properties of RS.

  • Preparation of Biomass Hydrochar and Application Analysis of Blast Furnace Injection
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Energies. - : MDPI AG. - 1996-1073. ; 16:3
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) technology was used to carbonize and improve biomass raw material to obtain hydrochar. The effects of HTC temperature and holding time on the yield, composition, structure, combustion behavior, and safety of hydrochar were studied systematically. In addition, the results show that with the increase in HTC temperature and the prolongation of holding time, the yield of hydrochar gradually reduces, the fixed carbon content of hydrochar increases, the volatile content decreases, and a large number of ash and alkali metals enter the liquid phase and are removed. Further, the analysis of the combustion properties and the structure of hydrochar can be observed in that, as the HTC process promotes the occurrence of polymerization reactions, the specific surface area gradually reduces, the degree of carbon ordering increases, and the combustion curve moves toward the high-temperature zone and gradually approaches bituminous coal. Since biomass hydrochar has the characteristic of being carbon neutral, blast furnace injection hydrochar can reduce CO2 emissions, and every 1 kg/tHM of biomass hydrochar can reduce CO2 emissions by 1.95 kg/tHM.
