  • Parapseudoflavitalea muciniphila gen. nov., sp. nov., a member of the family Chitinophagaceae isolated from a human peritoneal tumour and reclassification of Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans as Pseudoflavitalea ginsenosidimutans comb. nov

  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A Gram-stain-negative, microaerophilic, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium strain designated PMP191F(T), was isolated from a human peritoneal tumour. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that the organism formed a lineage within the family Chitinophagaceae that was distinct from members of the genus Pseudoflavitalea (95.1-95.2% sequence similarity) and Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans (94.4 % sequence similarity). The average nucleotide identity values between strain PMP191F(T) and Pseudoflavitalea rhizosphaerae T16R-265(T) and Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 221(T) was 68.9 and 62.3% respectively. The only respiratory quinone of strain PMP191F(T) was MK-7 and the major fatty acids were iso-C-15:0, iso-C-15: 1 G and summed feature 3 (C-16:1 omega 7c and/or C-16:1 omega 6c). The polar lipids consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine and some unidenti-fied amino and glycolipids. The G+C content of strain PMP191FT calculated from the genome sequence was 43.4 mol%. Based on phylogenetic, phenotypic and chemotaxonomic evidence, strain PMP191F(T) represents a novel species and genus for which the name Parapseudoflavitalea muciniphila gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is PMP191F(T) (=DSM 104999(T)=ATCC BAA-2857(T) = CCUG 72691(T)). The phylogenetic analyses also revealed that Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans shared over 98 % sequence similarly to members of the genus Pseudoflavitalea. However, the average nucleotide identity value between Pseu-doflavitalea rhizosphaerae T16R-265(T), the type species of the genus and Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 221(T) was 86.8 %. Therefore, we also propose that Pseudobacter ginsenosidimutans be reclassified as Pseudoflavitalea ginsenosidimutans comb. nov.

  • Validation, Deployment, and Real-World Implementation of a Modular Toolbox for Alzheimer’s Disease Detection and Dementia Risk Reduction: The AD-RIDDLE Project
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer's Disease. - 2274-5807 .- 2426-0266. ; 11:2, s. 329-338
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Real-World Implementation, Deployment, and Validation of Early Detection Tools and Lifestyle Enhancement (AD-RIDDLE) project, recently launched with the support of the EU Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) public-private partnership and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), aims to develop, test, and deploy a modular toolbox platform that can reduce existing barriers to the timely detection, and therapeutic approaches in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), thus accelerating AD innovation. By focusing on health system and health worker practices, AD-RIDDLE seeks to improve and smooth AD management at and between each key step of the clinical pathway and across the disease continuum, from at-risk asymptomatic stages to early symptomatic ones. This includes innovation and improvement in AD awareness, risk reduction and prevention, detection, diagnosis, and intervention. The 24 partners in the AD-RIDDLE interdisciplinary consortium will develop and test the AD-RIDDLE toolbox platform and its components individually and in combination in six European countries. Expected results from this cross-sectoral research collaboration include tools for earlier detection and accurate diagnosis; validated, novel digital cognitive and blood-based biomarkers; and improved access to individualized preventative interventions (including multimodal interventions and symptomatic/disease-modifying therapies) across diverse populations, within the framework of precision medicine. Overall, AD-RIDDLE toolbox platform will advance management of AD, improving outcomes for patients and their families, and reducing costs.

  • Intercomparison on PD calibrators and PD instruments
  • 1999
  • Ingår i: IEE Conference Publication. - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). - 0852967195 ; , s. 1.5.S1-1.8.S1
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Within the framework of a European project, two partial discharge calibrators were circulated to thirteen laboratories for an intercomparison of impulse charge measurements in the range between 1 pC and 500 pC. The deviations of the charge values q reported by the laboratories were, with a very few exceptions, within ±(0.1 pC+0.03·q). Furthermore, the characteristics of several partial discharge measuring instruments were investigated. The indication of some of the instruments showed deviations of more than ten percent from the correct values.
