  • The Seventh Visual Object Tracking VOT2019 Challenge Results
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: 2019 IEEE/CVF INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTER VISION WORKSHOPS (ICCVW). - : IEEE COMPUTER SOC. - 9781728150239 ; , s. 2206-2241
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2019 is the seventh annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of 81 trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in the recent years. The evaluation included the standard VOT and other popular methodologies for short-term tracking analysis as well as the standard VOT methodology for long-term tracking analysis. The VOT2019 challenge was composed of five challenges focusing on different tracking domains: (i) VOT-ST2019 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB, (ii) VOT-RT2019 challenge focused on "real-time" short-term tracking in RGB, (iii) VOT-LT2019 focused on long-term tracking namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance. Two new challenges have been introduced: (iv) VOT-RGBT2019 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB and thermal imagery and (v) VOT-RGBD2019 challenge focused on long-term tracking in RGB and depth imagery. The VOT-ST2019, VOT-RT2019 and VOT-LT2019 datasets were refreshed while new datasets were introduced for VOT-RGBT2019 and VOT-RGBD2019. The VOT toolkit has been updated to support both standard short-term, long-term tracking and tracking with multi-channel imagery. Performance of the tested trackers typically by far exceeds standard baselines. The source code for most of the trackers is publicly available from the VOT page. The dataset, the evaluation kit and the results are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • The Sixth Visual Object Tracking VOT2018 Challenge Results
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Computer Vision – ECCV 2018 Workshops. - Cham : Springer Publishing Company. - 9783030110086 - 9783030110093 ; , s. 3-53
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2018 is the sixth annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of over eighty trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in the recent years. The evaluation included the standard VOT and other popular methodologies for short-term tracking analysis and a “real-time” experiment simulating a situation where a tracker processes images as if provided by a continuously running sensor. A long-term tracking subchallenge has been introduced to the set of standard VOT sub-challenges. The new subchallenge focuses on long-term tracking properties, namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance. A new dataset has been compiled and a performance evaluation methodology that focuses on long-term tracking capabilities has been adopted. The VOT toolkit has been updated to support both standard short-term and the new long-term tracking subchallenges. Performance of the tested trackers typically by far exceeds standard baselines. The source code for most of the trackers is publicly available from the VOT page. The dataset, the evaluation kit and the results are publicly available at the challenge website (http://votchallenge.net).

  • The first visual object tracking segmentation VOTS2023 challenge results
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: 2023 IEEE/CVF International conference on computer vision workshops (ICCVW). - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.. - 9798350307443 - 9798350307450 ; , s. 1788-1810
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking Segmentation VOTS2023 challenge is the eleventh annual tracker benchmarking activity of the VOT initiative. This challenge is the first to merge short-term and long-term as well as single-target and multiple-target tracking with segmentation masks as the only target location specification. A new dataset was created; the ground truth has been withheld to prevent overfitting. New performance measures and evaluation protocols have been created along with a new toolkit and an evaluation server. Results of the presented 47 trackers indicate that modern tracking frameworks are well-suited to deal with convergence of short-term and long-term tracking and that multiple and single target tracking can be considered a single problem. A leaderboard, with participating trackers details, the source code, the datasets, and the evaluation kit are publicly available at the challenge website1

  • High-rate, high-capacity electrochemical energy storage in hydrogen-bonded fused aromatics
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Joule. - : Elsevier BV. - 2542-4351. ; 7:5, s. 986-1002
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Designing materials for electrochemical energy storage with short charging times and high charge capacities is a longstanding challenge. The fundamental difficulty lies in incorporating a high density of redox couples into a stable material that can efficiently conduct both ions and electrons. We report all-organic, fused aromatic materials that store up to 310 mAh g−1 and charge in as little as 33 s. This performance stems from abundant quinone/imine functionalities that decorate an extended aromatic backbone, act as redox-active sites, engage in hydrogen bonding, and enable a delocalized high-rate energy storage with stability upon cycling. The extended conjugation and hydrogen-bonding-assisted bulk charge storage contrast with the surface-confined or hydration-dependent behavior of traditional inorganic electrodes.

  • Atomically precise single-crystal structures of electrically conducting 2D metal-organic frameworks
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Nature Materials. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 1476-1122 .- 1476-4660. ; 20, s. 222-228
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Electrically conducting 2D metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted considerable interest, as their hexagonal 2D lattices mimic graphite and other 2D van der Waals stacked materials. However, understanding their intrinsic properties remains a challenge because their crystals are too small or of too poor quality for crystal structure determination. Here, we report atomically precise structures of a family of 2D pi-conjugated MOFs derived from large single crystals of sizes up to 200 mu m, allowing atomic-resolution analysis by a battery of high-resolution diffraction techniques. A designed ligand core rebalances the in-plane and out-of-plane interactions that define anisotropic crystal growth. We report two crystal structure types exhibiting analogous 2D honeycomb-like sheets but distinct packing modes and pore contents. Single-crystal electrical transport measurements distinctively demonstrate anisotropic transport normal and parallel to the pi-conjugated sheets, revealing a clear correlation between absolute conductivity and the nature of the metal cation and 2D sheet packing motif. Two-dimensional MOFs can possess porosity and electrical conductivity but are difficult to grow as single crystals. Here, by balancing in-plane and out-of-plane interactions, single crystals of sizes up to 200 mu m are grown, allowing in-plane transport measurements and atomic-resolution analysis.

  • Separation of Hydrogen Gas from Coal Gas by Graphene Nanopores
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: The Journal of Physical Chemistry C. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 1932-7447 .- 1932-7455. ; 119:45, s. 25559-25565
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We designed a series of porous graphene as the separation membrane for hydrogen gas in coal gas. The permeation process of different gas molecules (H-2, CO, CH4, and H2S) in porous graphene was evaluated under the atmospheric pressure and high pressure conditions. Our results indicate the hydrogen permeability and selectivity could be tuned by the size and the shape of the porous graphene. For graphene with bigger pores, the selectivity for hydrogen gas could decrease. In the porous graphene with same pore area, the hydrogen gas selectivity could be affected by the shape of the pore. The potential of mean force (PMF) of different gases to pass through a good separation candidate was calculated. The order of PMF for different gases to pass through the good separation candidate is H-2 < CO < CH4 approximate to H2S, which is also confirmed by the first-principle density function theory (DFT) calculation.

  • Prenatal exposure to benzodiazepines and Z-drugs in humans and risk of adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes in offspring : A systematic review
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews. - : Elsevier. - 0149-7634 .- 1873-7528. ; 137
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • When used during pregnancy, benzodiazepines (BZDs) and related z-drugs could pass readily through the placenta and the foetal blood-brain barrier, where they can bind to γ-amino butyric acid (GABA) receptors in the developing foetal brain. Yet, data on long-term safety of prenatal BZD and z-drug use and its impact on offspring neurodevelopment are inconclusive. In this systematic review, we qualitatively synthetize the existing evidence on maternal exposure to various BZDs and z-drugs during pregnancy and offspring cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and motor skills developmental outcomes. Nineteen studies were included. We used harvest plots to visualize the directions of reported associations. Despite several associations between distinct types of BZDs and z-drugs and an increased risk of outcomes within different neurodevelopmental domains were observed, a remarkable scarcity of overall research on the topic and considerable discrepancies in methodology, particularly towards controlling for confounding by indication, precluded drawing conclusions with a reasonable degree of certainty. We outline various research strategies to mitigate methodological limitations and provide directions for future empirical studies on the topic. Systematic review registration: PROSPERO (ID: CRD42021265828).

  • Interaction of P-glycoprotein with anti-tumor drugs : the site, gate and pathway
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Soft Matter. - : Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). - 1744-683X .- 1744-6848. ; 11:33, s. 6633-6641
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Understanding the mechanism and pathway of anti-cancer drugs to be pumped out by P-glycoprotein (P-gp) in cancer cell is very important for the successful chemotherapy. P-gp is a member of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. In this study, random accelerated molecular dynamics (RAMD) simulation was used to explore the potential egress pathway of ligands from the binding pocket. This could be considered as a reverse process of drug binding. The most possible portal of drugs to dissociate is TM4/TM6, which is almost the same for different drugs, such as paclitaxel and doxorubicin. The interactions in the binding site are found to be remarkably stronger than that outside of the binding site. The results were suggested by the free energy calculation between P-gp and different drugs from metadynamics simulation. All the results indicate that the flexibility of inner residues, especially the residue Phe339, is very important for the drugs to access the binding site.

  • DNN Assisted Projection based Deep Reinforcement Learning for Safe Control of Distribution Grids
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). - 0885-8950 .- 1558-0679. ; 39:4, s. 5687-5698
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is a promising solution for voltage control of distribution grids with high penetration of inverter-based renewable energy sources (RESs). Yet, when adopting the DRL-based control method, the safe and optimal operation of the system cannot be guaranteed at the same time, as the conventional DRL agent is not designed to solve the hard constraint problem. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a deep neural network (DNN) assisted projection based DRL method for safe control of distribution grids. First, a finite iteration projection algorithm is proposed to guarantee hard constraints by converting a non-convex optimization problem into a finite iteration problem. Next, a DNN assisted projection method is proposed to accelerate the calculation of projection and achieve the practical implementation of hard constraints in DRL problem. Finally, a DNN Projection embedded twin-delayed deep deterministic policy gradient (DPe-TD3) method is proposed to achieve optimal operation of distribution grids with guaranteed 100% safety of the distribution grid. The safety of the DRL training is guaranteed via the embedded Projection DNN in TD3 with participation in gradient return process, which could smoothly and effectively project the DRL agent actions into the feasible area, thus guaranteeing the safety of data driven control and the optimal operation at the same time. The case studies and comparisons are conducted in the IEEE 33 bus system to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
