  • Influences of interconnection structure on the flow and heat transfer behaviors of the hydrocarbon fuel in parallel SCRamjet regenerative cooling channels
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Numerical Heat Transfer, Part A Applications. - : Informa UK Limited. - 1040-7782 .- 1521-0634. ; 84:11, s. 1273-1296
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Regenerative cooling is of great significance to secure the thermal structure and promote the flight Mach number range of the SCRamjet. Interconnection structure (ICS) plays a key role in improving the coolant flow distribution and heat sink utilization. In this work, the flow and heat transfer behaviors of the hydrocarbon fuel in parallel regenerative cooling channels with ICS are numerically investigated. The ICS improves the flow distribution and alleviates the local heat transfer deterioration. The influences of ICS configuration mainly consist of two aspects: (a). inter-channel pressure communication; (b). transverse mass transfer. The maximum wall temperature falls by 117.48 K/6.96% with the ICS introduced. Different sizes and positions of ICS are also studied. ICS with too small size cannot provide enough space for pressure communication and transverse mass transfer. While ICS with too large size leads to local heat transfer deterioration. The optimal Ф value to achieve the lowest heated wall temperature is Ф = 5 in this work. Regarding the position of ICS, it affects the local heat transfer deterioration through flow distribution and thermal load distribution. Ps = 50% (ICS locates at the middle of the heated section) presents the optimal cooling effect in this work. At last, the ICS configurations are universal to different heat flux distributions. The maximum wall temperature (Case qf2) decreases by 137.72 K/8.15% compared with Case C1 (without ICS).

  • Study on Multiphase Flow Characteristics During RH Refining Process Affected by Nonradial Arrangement of Gas-Blowing Nozzle
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Steel Research International. - : Wiley. - 1611-3683 .- 1869-344X. ; 94:12
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Bath stirring, degassing, and decarburization in steel refining are strongly related to flow behaviors. The bubble plume produced in Ruhrstahl–Heraeus (RH) up-snorkel plays an important role during refining, since it not only acts as a bubble pump, but also provides the reaction interface. Herein, it is aimed to form a new flow pattern in the up-snorkel by using a nonradially arranged gas-injection nozzle to enhance the 260 ton RH refining process. The results show that an upward spiral steel flow is produced, when nonradial gas-injection nozzles are used in the up-snorkel. Meanwhile, some bubbles moved toward the center region of the up-snorkel, which may be caused by the centripetal effect in a rotational steel flow. This leads to a more uniform bubble distribution on the cross section of the snorkel, compared to that of the conventional case. Specifically, the circulation flow rate is increased by about 18.0%, and the mixing time are shortened by about 26.2% (criteria of ±5%), compared to that of the conventional case. In addition, the inclusion removal rate is increased by 0.5%, 4.8%, and 11.3% for the inclusion size of 20, 50, and 100 μm, respectively, compared to the conventional radial nozzle case.

  • Risk management of green supply chains for agricultural products based on social network evaluation framework
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Business Strategy and the Environment. - : WILEY. - 0964-4733 .- 1099-0836.
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The green supply chain of agricultural products (GSCAP) is a key link for rural revitalization and sustainable development in China. However, it faces various risks from internal and external environments that threaten its performance and stability. This paper proposes a novel framework and system for identifying and evaluating the main risks in the GSCAP from the perspective of agricultural enterprises. The framework combines social network analysis (SNA) and an improved technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) method. SNA is used to analyze the correlations and influences among different types of risks, while the improved TOPSIS method is used to rank the risks of different GSCAPs and identify the key risks in each supply chain. The framework and system are verified by a case study of CDYBIT, a leading platform of food safety big data service in China. The results show that the supermarket supply chain has the highest risk, followed by the group catering supply chain, and the five-star hotel supply chain has the lowest risk. The main risk factors for each supply chain are also discussed, and some suggestions for risk management are provided. This paper contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive and systematic risk assessment framework and system for the GSCAP, which can help agricultural enterprises improve their risk awareness and response capabilities.

  • Integrated opposite charge grafting induced ionic-junction fiber
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Nature Communications. - : NATURE PORTFOLIO. - 2041-1723. ; 14:1
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The emergence of ionic-junction devices has attracted growing interests due to the potential of serving as signal transmission and translation media between electronic devices and biological systems using ions. Among them, fiber-shaped iontronics possesses a great advantage in implantable applications owing to the unique one-dimensional geometry. However, fabricating stable ionic-junction on curved surfaces remains a challenge. Here, we developed a polyelectrolyte based ionic-junction fiber via an integrated opposite charge grafting method capable of large-scale continuous fabrication. The ionic-junction fibers can be integrated into functions such as ionic diodes and ionic bipolar junction transistors, where rectification and switching of input signals are implemented. Moreover, synaptic functionality has also been demonstrated by utilizing the fiber memory capacitance. The connection between the ionic-junction fiber and sciatic nerves of the mouse simulating end-to-side anastomosis is further performed to realize effective nerve signal conduction, verifying the capability for next-generation artificial neural pathways in implantable bioelectronics. Ionic-junction devices are difficult to integrate with fiber-shaped tissues like nerves and muscles for applications in implantable bioelectronics due to their large size and bulk structure. Authors realize here easy to implant fiber-shaped iontronics through an integrated opposite charge grafting process, enabling the construction of ionic logic gates and artificial neural pathways.
