    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge VOT2021 is the ninth annual tracker benchmarking activity organized by the VOT initiative. Results of 71 trackers are presented; many are state-of-the-art trackers published at major computer vision conferences or in journals in recent years. The VOT2021 challenge was composed of four sub-challenges focusing on different tracking domains: (i) VOT-ST2021 challenge focused on short-term tracking in RGB, (ii) VOT-RT2021 challenge focused on "real-time" short-term tracking in RGB, (iii) VOT-LT2021 focused on long-term tracking, namely coping with target disappearance and reappearance and (iv) VOT-RGBD2021 challenge focused on long-term tracking in RGB and depth imagery. The VOT-ST2021 dataset was refreshed, while VOT-RGBD2021 introduces a training dataset and sequestered dataset for winner identification. The source code for most of the trackers, the datasets, the evaluation kit and the results along with the source code for most trackers are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • Sulfur quantum dot as a fluorescent nanoprobe for Fe3+ ions : Uncovering of detection mechanism, high sensitivity, and large detection range
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Journal of Luminescence. - : Elsevier. - 0022-2313 .- 1872-7883. ; 257
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Sulfur quantum dots (SQDs), as a novel metal-free fluorescent material, are getting increasingly tremendous attention in metal ion detection, especially for Fe3+, due to the merits of antimicrobial potential, low toxicity, and exciting optoelectronic properties. However, sensing mechanism of SQD based fluorescent probe for Fe3+ is not clear yet, and high sensitivity and large detection range remain a challenge. Here, we report the synthesis of hydrophilic SQDs as a fluorescent nanoprobe for Fe3+ via a fluorescent turn-off mode. We systematically studied the quenching mechanism by ultraviolet–visible absorption spectra, steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescent spectra, and temperature-dependent quenching constants. Results unclearly evidenced the quenching behavior to both inner filter effect and static quenching. Furthermore, the nanoprobe presents a large detection range from 2.5 to 700 μM and a limit of detection low to 53.6 nM, both of which are the record performance to our knowledge. At last, it shows high selectivity toward Fe3+ and presents no ionic strength effect in the range of investigation, which enables surprising results for Fe3+ detection in deionized water with interference ion and real water samples.

  • Clinical efficacy of irinotecan plus raltitrexed chemotherapy in refractory esophageal squamous cell cancer
  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Anti-Cancer Drugs. - : LIPPINCOTT WILLIAMS & WILKINS. - 0959-4973 .- 1473-5741. ; 31:4, s. 403-410
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Our retrospective study assessed the efficacy and safety of irinotecan plus raltitrexed in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) patients who were previously treated with multiple systemic therapies. Between January 2016 and December 2018, records of 38 ESCC patients who underwent irinotecan plus raltitrexed chemotherapy after at least one line of chemotherapy were reviewed. Efficacy assessment was performed every two cycles according to the RECIST version 1.1. A total of 95 cycles of chemotherapy were administered, and the median course was 3 (range 2-6). There was no treatment-related death. Nine patients had partial response, 21 had stable disease and eight had progressive disease. The overall objective response rate was 23.68% (9/38) and the disease control rate was78.94% (30/38). After a median follow-up of 18.5 months, the median progression-free survival and overall survival were 105 and 221 days, respectively. There were five patients (13.15%) with grade 3/4 leukopenia, three patients (7.89%) with grade 3/4 neutropenia and one patient (2.63%) with grade 3/4 diarrhea. The combination of irinotecan plus raltitrexed was effective for pretreated ESCC patients. Further studies are needed to determine the optimal dose of the two drugs.

  • Highly stable CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots enabled by single SiO2 coating toward down-conversion light-emitting diodes
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Applied Sciences. - : MDPI. - 2076-3417. ; 13:13
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • All-inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) have sparked widespread research due to their excellent optoelectronic properties and facile synthesis. However, attaining highly stable CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) against heat and polar solvents still remains a challenge and hinders any further practical application. Here, by exploiting (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES) as the sole silica (SiO2) precursor, we report a one-step in situ synthesis of single SiO2-coated CsPbI3 (SiO2-CsPbI3) PeQDs, namely that one SiO2 particle only contains one CsPbI3 PeQD particle. The obtained SiO2-CsPbI3 PeQDs are cubic in shape, have a more uniform size distribution, and possess narrow emission, with near unit photoluminescence quantum yields of up to 97.5%. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirm the formation of SiO2 through the hydrolysis of APTES on the CsPbI3 PeQDs surface. Furthermore, they have a significantly improved stability against storage, heat, and ethanol. By combining purple-emission GaN light-emitting diodes, the SiO2-CsPbI3 PeQDs were successfully employed as down-conversion emitters and exhibited considerable enhanced luminous performance and excellent stability, demonstrating their promising future in the practical application of solid-state lighting fields.

  • What is the Role of Nb on Preferential Hydriding of Double-Phased Uranium, Stabilizing gamma-U, or Avoiding Hydrogen Aggregation?
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: The Journal of Physical Chemistry C. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 1932-7447 .- 1932-7455. ; 125:17, s. 9364-9370
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Uranium as the heaviest naturally occurring element plays important roles in nuclear industries. Hydrogen-caused corrosions and irradiation-caused structural damages are two critical degradations that threaten the safe storage and practical applications of uranium. Through alloying with transition metals like Nb, the gamma-phase of U can be stabilized at room temperature, which shows better performance against hydrogen-caused corrosions than the ground-state alpha-U. The underlying mechanisms have not been fully understood yet. To explain the preferential hydriding phenomenon observed on a specially fabricated double-phase U-2.5 wt % Nb alloy, we perform multiscale ab initio calculations and kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC) simulations. We find that because of different diffusion mechanisms, intrinsic alpha-U and gamma-U already show different hydrogen accumulation behaviors. The existence of random Nb atoms further inhibits hydrogen accumulation in gamma-U. Our work declares its contribution by pointing out the important role of crystal lattice architectures on hydrogen accumulations in metals.

  • A similar to 30,000-year record of environmental changes inferred from Lake Chen Co, Southern Tibet
  • 2009
  • Ingår i: Journal of Paleolimnology. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 0921-2728 .- 1573-0417. ; 42:3, s. 343-358
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Climatic and environmental changes since the last glacial period are important to our understanding of global environmental change. There   are few records from Southern Tibet, one of the most climatically   sensitive areas on earth. Here we present a study of the lake sediments   (TC1 core) from Lake Chen Co, Southern Tibet. Two sediment cores were   drilled using a hydraulic borer in Terrace 1 of Lake Chen Co. AMS C-14   dating of the sediments showed that the sequence spanned > 30,000   years. Analyses of present lake hydrology indicated that glacier melt   water is very important to maintaining the lake level. Sediment   variables such as grain size, TOC, TN, C/N, Fe/Mn, CaCO3, and pollen   were analyzed. Warm and moderately humid conditions dominated during   the interval 30,000-26,500 cal year BP. From 26,500 to 20,000 cal year   BP, chemical variables and pollen assemblages indicate a cold/dry   environment, and pollen amounts and assemblages suggest a decline in   vegetation. From 20,000 to 18,000 cal year BP, the environment shifted   from cold/dry to warm/humid and vegetation rebounded. The environment   transitioned to cold/humid during 16,500-10,500 cal year BP, with a   cold/dry event around 14,500 cal year BP. After 10,500 cal year BP, the   environment in this region tended to be warm/dry, but exhibited three   stages. From 10,500 to 9,000 cal year BP, there was a short warm/humid   period, but a shift to cold/dry conditions occurred around 9,000 cal   year BP. Thereafter, from 9,000 to 6,000 cal year BP, there was a   change from cold/dry to warm/humid conditions, with the warmest period   around 6,000 cal year BP. After 6,000 cal year BP, the environment   cooled rapidly, but then displayed a warming trend. Chemical variables   indicate that a relatively warm/dry event occurred around 5,500-5,000   cal year BP, which is supported by time-lagged pollen assemblages   around 4,800 cal year BP. Our lake sediment sequence exhibits   environmental changes since 30,000 cal year BP, and most features agree   with records from the Greenland GISP2 ice core and with other sequences   from the Tibetan Plateau. This indicates that environmental changes   inferred from Lake Chen Co, Southern Tibet were globally significant.

  • Capping ligand engineering enables stable CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dots toward white-light-emitting diodes
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Inorganic Chemistry. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 0020-1669 .- 1520-510X. ; 62:23, s. 9190-9198
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • All-inorganic perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) have sparked extensive research focus on white-light-emitting diodes (WLEDs), but stability and photoluminescence efficiency issues are still remain obstacles impeding their practical application. Here, we reported a facile one-step method to synthesize CsPbBr3 PeQDs at room temperature using branched didodecyldimethylammonium fluoride (DDAF) and short-chain-length octanoic acid as capping ligands. The obtained CsPbBr3 PeQDs have a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield of 97% due to the effective passivation of DDAF. More importantly, they exhibit much improved stability against air, heat, and polar solvents, maintaining >70% of initial PL intensity. Making use of these excellent optoelectronic properties, WLEDs based on CsPbBr3 PeQDs, CsPbBr1.2I1.8 PeQDs, and blue LEDs were fabricated, which show a color gamut of 122.7% of the National Television System Committee standard, a luminous efficacy of 17.1 lm/W, with a color temperature of 5890 K, and CIE coordinates of (0.32, 0.35). These results indicate that the CsPbBr3 PeQDs have great practical potential in wide-color-gamut displays.
