  • Work in progress - establishing a master program in cyber physical systems : Basic findings and future perspectives
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Proceedings - 2019 International Conference on Promising Electronic Technologies, ICPET 2019. - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). ; , s. 4-9
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper reports on the basic findings and future perspectives of a capacity building project funded by the European Union. The International Master of Science on Cyber Physical Systems (MS@CPS) is a collaborative project that aims to establish a master program in cyber physical systems (CPS). A consortium composed of nine partners proposed the project. Three partners are European and from Germany, UK and Sweden; while the other six partners are from the South Mediterranean region and include: Palestine, Jordan and Tunisia. The consortium is led by the University of Siegen in Germany who also manages the implementation of the work packages. CPS is an emerging engineering subject with significant economic and societal implications, which motivated the consortium to propose the establishment of a master program to offer educational and training opportunities at graduate level in the fields of CPS. In this paper, CPS as a field of study is presented with an emphasis on its importance, especially with regard to meeting local needs. A brief description of the project is presented in conjunction with the methodology for developing the courses and their learning outcomes.

  • WCET Tool Challenge 2008 : Report
  • 2008
  • Ingår i: OpenAccess Ser. Informatics. - 9783939897101
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Following the successful WCET Tool Challenge in 2006, the second event in this series was organized in 2008, again with support from the ARTIST2 Network of Excellence. The WCET Tool Challenge 2008 (WCC'08) provides benchmark programs and poses a number of "analysis problems" about the dynamic, runtime properties of these programs. The participants are challenged to solve these problems with their programanalysis tools. Two kinds of problems are defined: WCET problems, which ask for bounds on the execution time of chosen parts (subprograms) of the benchmarks, under given constraints on input data; and flowanalysis problems, which ask for bounds on the number of times certain parts of the benchmark can be executed, again under some constraints. We describe the organization of WCC'08, the benchmark programs, the participating tools, and the general results, successes, and failures. Most participants found WCC'08 to be a useful test of their tools. Unlike the 2006 Challenge, the WCC'08 participants include several tools for the same target (ARM7, LPC2138), and tools that combine measurements and static analysis, as well as pure staticanalysis tools.

  • Multi-level Theoretical Framework – Meadow Background document no1
  • 2009
  • Ingår i: Meadow reports. ; 1, s. 1-59
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This report is one outcome of workpackage 2 in the EU funded MEADOW project. Its aim has been to establish an overview of theoretical literature in surveys on organisational change, innovation and work conditions. An international team of scholars have cooperated on this task. Scholars from Aalborg University (Denmark) have coordinated the workpackage and accepted responsibility for establishing a comprehensive multilevel framework regarding theories on organisational change, innovation and work conditions.
