  • Building Intelligent Environments with Smart-Its
  • 2004
  • Ingår i: IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications. - 0272-1716 .- 1558-1756. ; 24:1, s. 56-64
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The development of Smart-Its for building smart environments is discussed. Smart-Its are small, self-contained, stick-on computers that attach to everyday objects. These augmented objects become soft media, enabling dynamic digital relationships with users and each other. A Smart-Its consists of a core board with a wireless transceiver to let the device communicate with other Smart-Its, plus a sensor board that gives the Smart-Its data about its sorroundings. The major advantage of the system is that it allows designers and researchers to construct responsive or intelligent environments.

  • The DEBS 2019 grand challenge
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: DEBS 2019 - Proceedings of the 13th ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event-Based Systems. - New York, NY, USA : ACM. ; , s. 205-208
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The ACM DEBS 2019 Grand Challenge is the ninth in a series of challenges which seek to provide a common ground and evaluation criteria for a competition aimed at both research and industrial event-based systems. The focus of the 2019 Grand Challenge is on the application of machine learning to LiDAR data. The goal of the challenge is to perform classification of objects found in urban environments and sensed in several 3D scenes by the LiDAR. The applications of LIDAR and object detection go well beyond autonomous vehicles and are suitable for use in agriculture, waterway maintenance and flood prevention, and construction. This paper describes the specifics of the data streams provided in the challenge as well as the benchmarking platform that supports the testing of corresponding solutions.

  • The DEBS 2017 grand challenge
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: DEBS 2017 - Proceedings of the 11th ACM International Conference on Distributed Event-Based Systems. - New York, NY, USA : ACM. - 9781450350655 ; , s. 271-273

    • © 2017 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). The ACM DEBS 2017 Grand Challenge is the seventh in a series of challenges which seek to provide a common ground and evaluation criteria for a competition aimed at both research and industrial event-based systems. The focus of the 2017 Grand Challenge is on the analysis of the RDF streaming data generated by digital and analogue sensors embedded within manufacturing equipment. The analysis aims at the detection of anomalies in the behavior of such manufacturing equipment. This paper describes the specifics of the data streams and continuous queries that define the DEBS 2017 Grand Challenge. It also describes the benchmarking platform that supports testing of corresponding solutions.
