  • Stödjande gemenskap : Utveckling och utvärdering av en intervention för livsstilsförändring bland vuxna med adhd
  • 2020
  • Doktorsavhandling (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The entire project revolves around a lifestyle intervention that has been developed, implemented and evaluated. The intervention included adults with ADHD and comorbid mental illness. ADHD (Attention Deficiency Hyperactive Disorder) is a neuropsychiatric diagnosis/disability characterized by attention problems, impulsivity and hyperactivity and can affect education, working life, social relationships and form the basis for impaired lifestyle habits. Previous research shows shortened life expectancy in adults with ADHD, which related to deteriorating lifestyle habits. In the long run, the disability may be the basis for impaired living conditions and lifestyle habits and contribute to the individual's well-being and quality of life. In the field of health sciences, it is important to alleviate suffering, promote health and prevent ill health. Thus, the overall aim of this dissertation is to analyze living conditions among people with ADHD and mental illness, as well as to develop and evaluate a lifestyle intervention for this group. The PhD project includes four sub-studies: Study I, a qualitative interview study (n = 20) of adults with ADHD and mental illness, aimed at describing experiences of everyday suffering in this group. The analysis showed experiences of both suffering and well-being in living with ADHD. The focus of the suffering was the experience of loneliness, both regarding relationships in life, relationships in health care, but also to ADHD diagnosis and mental illness. Well-being was experienced when diagnosed with ADHD but also in relation to supportive social relationships. Study II, a quantitative descriptive and comparative study, aimed to gain more knowledge about people withADHD and their health situation. One group of people with ADHD (n = 48)was compared to the normal population without ADHD (n = 42). The results showed poorer health outcomes regarding self-perceived general health and the group with ADHD was less weekly physical active but nevertheless had no decreased aerobic fitness compared to the normal population. Study III, aquantitative descriptive study (n = 25), aimed to examine the degree of acceptance of the intervention and its impact on lifestyle habits, health and well-being, MBI and physical fitness. The tests before and after completing intervention showed small positive effects regarding weekly physical activity, quality of life and general- and mental health. Study IV, a qualitative study(n = 15), with adults with ADHD and comorbid mental illness aimed to investigate the experience of participating in a nurse-led lifestyle intervention. The analysis, based on material from interviews, showed that the participants perceived the intervention as supportive, which is related to the interpersonal relationships that arose in the intervention. Through supportive kindship with the other participants in the intervention, lifestyle habits and health experience were improved. The conclusion of the thesis is that the lifestyle intervention, based on interpersonal relationships and supported kindship, can be useful for making lifestyle changes in adults with ADHD and mental illness. Such support is important because adults with ADHD and mental illness experience a lack of and a desire for social support and has an increased risk of deteriorating health and unhealthy lifestyles. However, future adjustments to the content of the intervention must be made to improve the lifestyle intervention towards more sustainable lifestyle changes. Above all, the lifestyle intervention ought to be continuous. It is also of great importance for further research that insider perspective is used, that is, investigate the professionals' experiences regarding the intervention.

  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Nordic Journal of Psychiatry. - : Taylor & Francis Group. - 0803-9488 .- 1502-4725. ; 74:8, s. 602-612
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Introduction: Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is associated with lifestyle-related diseases. Therefore, a nurse-led lifestyle intervention including interpersonal relationships, health education and cognitive support was developed to facilitate healthier lifestyle habits.Aim: The aim was to develop a lifestyle intervention and investigate its impact on mental and physical healthMethod: The 52-week intervention included 35 adults with ADHD. In a pre- and post-test design, symptoms of ADHD were measured with the Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale, quality of life was measured with the Adult ADHD Quality of Life scale and mental health was measured with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression scale. Lifestyle habits and dimensions of health were measured by the Lifestyle-Performance-Health Questionnaire and physical fitness was measured by the VO2 Max Test and calculations of waist circumference and body mass index. Result: Post-tests for a group of 25 persons showed positive changes following the intervention regarding weekly physical activity, quality of life and general and mental health. Lifestyle habit support was found to be important. The impact of the intervention should be confirmed in a long-term study with a control group. Conclusion: This intervention may be beneficial and may be implemented in a primary healthcare setting or in other open care units.

  • The Importance of Belonging to a Context : A Nurse-Led Lifestyle Intervention for Adult Persons with ADHD
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Issues in Mental Health Nursing. - : Informa UK Limited. - 0161-2840 .- 1096-4673. ; 42:3, s. 216-226
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Living with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and mental illness involves an increased risk of lifestyle-related diseases. Although there are several ways to provide support to adult persons with ADHD, there is a lack of non-medical strategies for this purpose. This study explore how adult persons with ADHD with mental illness experienced taking part in a nurse-led lifestyle intervention. Fifteen participants participated in a 52-week lifestyle intervention. The analysis revealed two main categories; Building trusting relationships and Health together. This nurse-led lifestyle intervention could be an alternative or complement to current approaches to promoting health in adults with ADHD.

  • Perspectives on work - young adults with experience of mental illness give their picture
  • 2023
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • IntroductionPerspectives on work and mental health in relation to work may affect social sustainability and equal health. Mental health problems among young adults in Sweden are perceived to be related to school stress and concerns about future education and the encounter with an uncertain labor market. To shed light on perspectives that have not been reflected in previous research, this study used critical perspectives and photovoice as method to engage young adults with experience of mental illness in a dialogue about work. The aim of the study was to analyze how young adults with experience of mental illness view work.MethodThe method involves a group of participants to take photographs in their everyday lives and then meet to critically discuss their pictures. Six young adults with experience of mental illness and with a foreign background met on six occasions during the fall and winter 2022-23. Data was analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings The analysis show how the participants understand the concept of work and position themselves in relation to work. The overarching theme The work of navigating a challenging route, comprises three themes explaining work as The individual’s efforts in everyday life, An obligated doing, and Producing results that matter. The conclusions highlight a tension between perceiving oneself as responsible for directing and choosing the inevitable work that is part of everyday life while at the same time being limited in influencing the scope of it. ImplicationsIn order to promote social sustainability in relation to equal health and justice, future research should explore the view of responsibility in relation to navigating work among young adults with experience of mental illness.

  • The Same, Only Different : Doing Management in the Intersection between Work and Private Life for Men and Women in Small-scale Enterprises
  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Work, Employment and Society. - : SAGE Publications. - 0950-0170 .- 1469-8722. ; 34:2, s. 262-280
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The aim of this article is to elucidate how male and female managers of small-scale enterprises in Norway and Sweden relate to and experience the intersection between work and private life. A qualitative content analysis was adopted to explore interviews with 18 managers. The analysis resulted in three primary categories: conflict as a part of the deal, using management to construct balance, and management identity contributing to enrichment. A key theme that emerged was doing management. Both men and women reproduced masculine values in describing their management identities and in explaining how they enacted management. This clear identification was used to legitimate conflict, construct balance and explain the interaction between work and private life as enriching. How the managers enacted gender emerged primarily in how they related to family responsibilities and their feelings of guilt in relation to home and children.

  • Stories of the storm : the interconnection between risk management strategies and everyday experiences of rurality
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Journal of Risk Research. - : Informa UK Limited. - 1366-9877 .- 1466-4461. ; 24:8, s. 1016-1029
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Households play an important role in risk management. In this article, we take a closer look at risk management strategies applied by rural citizens in relation to an actual situation: a specific storm. The storm chosen, named Ivar, hit the northern parts of Sweden in December 2013 and caused major blackouts and heavy problems for road and train traffic due to extensive tree falls. After the storm, there were persistent problems with electricity, Internet, telephone communications, heating and drinking water supply, especially in the affected rural areas. The aim of this article is to explore the interconnection between risk management strategies and living conditions among rural citizens affected by this storm and its aftermath. The empirical material consists of narrative interviews with households from the area most affected by the storm: a small company town where the citizens were without electricity for 5-10 days after the storm. Our analysis resulted in two broad storylines ('stories of social dismantling' and 'stories of capability') illustrating how household risk management is intertwined with subjective experiences of rurality. That is, the households made sense of their experiences of the storm by relating them to an urban norm and to the everyday experience of living in 'the periphery'. By that, rural households' risk management strategies can be understood as a manifestation of different power relations in society (urban/rural, centre/periphery) as well as being embedded in the everyday experience of rurality.

  • Employees Perceptions of Job Insecurity and Performance : A Qualitative Approach
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. - : MDPI AG. - 1661-7827 .- 1660-4601. ; 19:24
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The purpose of this article is to understand the experience of workers’ perceptions of job insecurity and its relation to performance. To this end, we conducted semi-structured interviews with 38 workers in the retail, services, education, financial, construction, and pharmaceutical industries in Chile. Using content analysis based on workers’ accounts of their own experience, we identified two main categories: (a) the experience of job insecurity viewed in relation to the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and emotional aspects of job insecurity, and (b) the relation between job insecurity and performance. The possibility of job loss expresses itself in experiences and emotions that are related to the performance of workers in different ways. These findings are discussed in terms of stress theory and the motivation to preserve jobs.

  • A narrative about risk management, a narrative about gender
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: Tidskrift för Genusvetenskap. - 1654-5443 .- 2001-1377. ; 35:4, s. 59-74
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • During the winter of 2010/2011 the town of Östersund with 60 000 inhabitants was struck by a water crisis. High levels of the parasite Cryptosporidium were discovered in the drinking water. The water delivered by the municipality suddenly constituted a risk for the populations’ health. To consume the infected water could lead to long term stomach illness. This article explores sense-making of risk in everyday life during the time of the Cryptosporidium. The field of risk management constitutes a large part of the risk research conducted within the social sciences. Gender analysis in this body of research is often understood as a background variable among other variables. This article contributes to the field by connecting sociological perspectives on risk theory and performative narrative gender analysis. We think that this is important for illuminating and understanding more about how sense-making of risk is articulated as a gendered narrative. Our analysis shows that intertwined in a narrative about water as a new risk in everyday life, storylines constituting femininity were articulated.

  • Cable Wakeboarding for the First Time : How Young People Make Sense of Risk in Adventure Recreation
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Young - Nordic Journal of Youth Research. - : SAGE Publications. - 1103-3088 .- 1741-3222. ; 29:3, s. 305-320
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Cable wakeboarding can be defined as a risky adventure recreation activity in which young people are the primary participants. Based on interviews and observations focusing on cable wakeboarding in Sweden, young people’s understanding of the risks associated with this activity was analysed. According to the thematic content analysis of the interview transcripts and field notes, the participants’ interpretations of risk were related to the social/spatial context of the adventure recreation activity. Furthermore, the analysis resulted in the identification of two themes: the content of the cable wakeboarding information and procedures, and the city beach community. Overall, the participants’ sense-making of risk in adventure recreation was explored and found to be framed by local attachment and a combination of individualistic and collectivistic perspectives of risk.

  • 2021
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Qualitative Methods. - : Sage Publications. - 1609-4069. ; 20
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Background:In present research protocol, the project entitled “A sustainable working life for young adults—leadership, learning, and insecurity” is presented and discussed. The study which aims to describe and analyze the expectations of young adults in the retail workforce in terms of leadership, learning and development and how these aspects can be understood from a health promotion perspective. The project is limited to young adults (18–28 years) employed in a retail setting. Methods:The project is based on qualitative data collected through focus group interviews and individual interviews made during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in year 2020 what here will be reflected upon.Discussion:It is concluded data collection carried out during the ongoing spread of the coronavirus, may be significant to what interviewees highlighted in the interviews, but also to what was not discussed in the interviews. It may be the case that the increased focus on the coronavirus meant that other issues that are important to young adults as they establish themselves in the labor market were overshadowed.

  • 2021
  • Ingår i: Högre Utbildning. - : Nordic Open Access Scholarly Publishing. - 2000-7558. ; 11:2, s. 46-57
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract

  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Sociologisk forskning. - 0038-0342 .- 2002-066X. ; 56:3-4, s. 289-309
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract

  • Return to Work After Long-Term Sick Leave : Stories of Employed Women With Common Mental Disorders
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Disability Mangement Research. - : Cambridge University Press (CUP). - 1833-8550 .- 1834-4887. ; 13:e4, s. 1-7
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The aim of this study is to investigate the perceptions of female employees on long-term sickness absence due to common mental disorders (CMDs), in relation to what they perceive would best help them to return to work. Data were collected through a survey answered by employees at a municipality in Sweden on long-term sick leave. Results of the current study are based on a part of that material, namely from 56 women with CMDs who responded to the final open question. The analysis involves two steps. Initially, we explored themes that form the accounts in the findings. Secondly, based on the themes, collective narratives, storylines were identified. Three different storylines were found to be prominent in the findings. The storylines describe how the participants collectively expressed themselves in relation to the possibilities for return to work, and the following storylines were derived: It feels like too much, Things are moving too fast, and I have to get out of here!. The findings are related to perceived demands, control and support. From a disability management perspective, we have learned the importance of restoring the balance between demands, control and support — not only to prevent absence from work, but also to facilitate return to work after a period of long-term sickness.

  • Riskförståelse : Teoretiska och empiriska perspektiv
  • 2010
  • Doktorsavhandling (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The thesis introduces the concept of ‘sense-making of risk’ (riskförståelse) for the purpose of the theoretical and empirical study of the individual’s sense-making of risk. Particular weight is attached to an examination of the term’s various components, its compass, and the relationship between sense-making of risk and behaviour. The premise is that risk is created and defined by the common conceptions that exist within the framework of a specific social context; the effect is to focus attention on the significance of social and cultural contexts. To provide a full picture of sense-making of risk, and risk behaviour, and to study these phenomena using a variety of methodological perspectives, the data was gathered from both polls and focus-group interviews. It is in the first article, based on a focus-group interview study, that the concept of sense-making of risk is introduced: the empirical results demonstrate that it can be used to chart how young people with similar risk perceptions differ in their understanding of a variety of risks. A theoretical model is proposed that establishes that there are two dimensions to the individual’s sense-making of risk. The second article considers young people’s risk behaviour in traffic milieus. The principal conclusion drawn in this study is that the individual’s sense-making of risk is insufficient to explain behaviour in relation to risk: the spatial context must also be taken into account. The third article focuses on the relationship between place attachment and sense-making of risk, and demonstrates that various aspects of place attachment have implications for the individual’s sense-making of risk. The fourth and final article offers a cluster analysis. The article’s most important result is its refinement of the theoretical concepts.  Structure of meaning is singled out as the basis for the individual’s sense-making of risk. In its empirical application the concept was shown to be useful in studying the behavioural differences between various social groups, since grouping by structure of meaning furnishes an explanation for variations in risk and risk-reducing behaviour. The introductory and concluding chapters assemble the studies’ findings and offer a full account of the concept of sense-making of risk. The thesis’ most important conceptual contribution is to the question of how the individual arrives at a personal sense-making of risk. However, it will fall to future studies to establish the concept’s general applicability by considering its theoretical ramifications and empirical implementation. In this way, sense-making of risk can take its place in a specifically sociological conceptual apparatus that focuses on how the individual relates to risk.

  • Sense of security when new at work : a thematic analysis of interviews with young adult retail workers in Sweden
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Workplace Health Management. - : Emerald Group Publishing Limited. - 1753-8351 .- 1753-836X. ; 14:6, s. 620-633
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Purpose - Positive examples of situations in which young adults new at work experience feeling secure in the role as novice in the work force are here focused. The aim is to analyze how young adults who are new to the labor market express having a sense of security in the workplace. The long-term goal is to strengthen the conditions for the health and wellbeing of workers entering the retail labor market.Design/methodology/approach - Thirteen individual in-depth telephone/video-interviews were conducted with young adults (aged 18–28) working within the retail sector in Sweden. Using a thematic interview schedule, the interviews focused how the interviewees contextualizing stories on being novice at the labor market. The study is based on those parts of the material in which stories on feeling secure was expressed.Findings - The analysis resulted in two themes: A sense of security is related to carrying out work safely and a sense of security is related to receiving support. The first theme illuminates how work is structured and safety training respectively contributes to a sense of security and the latter reveal how social support from a variety of sources (managers, colleagues and others outside the work environment) contributes to a sense of security when new at work.Originality/value - Using a health promoting perspective, the study complements the existing perspectives of challenges faced by novices as they enter working life. Also, the study highlights the importance of including relations outside the workplace when searching for the understanding of the experiences of being new at work. The study indicates that focusing on the sense of security by well-structured work, safety training and social support might contribute to the strive for a sustainable working life for young adults.

  • The individuals’ interest in preventing everyday accidents and crises : A Swedish explorative study of the importance of motivation
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: Human Technology. - : Centre of Sociological Research, NGO. - 1795-6889. ; 10:2, s. 125-137
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This explorative study presents an empirical examination of the connection between motivation and the measures individuals take to prevent everyday accidents and prepare for crises. Positional factors (age and gender) and situational factors (education, size of locality, and household composition) are included because the literature highlights their importance. The study used data gathered in a 2010/2011 poll of randomly selected Swedish residents aged 16–75 (N = 2000; 44.8% response rate). A factor analysis reduced the theoretical model for situational motivation (Guay, Vallerand, & Blanchard, 2000) from four to two dimensions: motivation and amotivation. Subsequent regression analyses statistically confirmed the connection between motivation or amotivation and the extent to which individuals pursue preventative and preparedness measures, even when accounting for positional and situational factors. These findings underscore the need for continued studies of individuals' incentives to prevent accidents and prepare for crises and for the study of the nuances of (situational) motivation and preventive/preparedness measures.

  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Nordic Journal of Working Life Studies. - : Det Kgl. Bibliotek/Royal Danish Library. - 2245-0157. ; 10:4, s. 85-101
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This article examines the public administration role of university personnel who are state em-ployees by analyzing female senior lecturers’ stories on working in Swedish universities, especially regarding how their role as a civil servant is narrated as part of their work. A performative narrative approach was used to analyze the in-depth interviews of four female senior lecturers at Swedish universities. Through the analysis, three shared storylines emerged: I don’t think of myself as a civil servant; You have to keep a certain level and It’s a solitary duty. The study revealed how the senior lecturer position was narrated by the interviewees in terms of duties to students and the public and the lack of efficient social support and knowledge. The findings are discussed as gendered expressions of working as a female senior lecturer in Sweden.

  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Time for changed working conditions within the health care sector. Time and temporality in narrative sensemaking during the first phase of the corona pandemic in Sweden. In the present study, we focus on stories about working conditions in the Swedish health care sector during the initial phase of the corona pandemic in the spring of 2020. The study is based on 33 interviews with health care professionals conducted during the first weeks of the corona pandemic. By linking interpretations of narratives to time and temporality in the analysis, we analyze how stories about working conditions relate to managing the effects of the pandemic as well as to working conditions before and after the pandemic. Narrative analysis shows that different perspectives on time are used to support the argumentation in the participants’ stories. One perspective is linked to the specific situation of the first phase of the corona pandemic and the other relates to the work situation during the corona pandemic as part of an, in time, extended context. The analysis with a focus on time and temporality in the stories creates an opening to understand the corona pandemic as an event that draws attention to something more than the work situation right now, namely a critique of working conditions on a general level.

  • Alcohol- and drug prevention among seasonal employees at a Swedish ski resort
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: 10th IUHPE European Conference and International Forum for Health Promotion Research.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Seasonal employees at ski resorts represent a high-risk population for the use of alcohol and drugs, as well as other negative lifestyle behaviours. These employees work and live in a context where the customers are on holiday and hence alcohol is used frequently. To our knowledge there is a gap in the literature regarding alcohol and drug consumption among seasonal employees. Particularly studies in the context of ski resorts are lacking. The overall purpose of our study was to evaluate a policy-based intervention at a ski resort area in Sweden. The intervention was led by a project leader together with managers from different tourism industries, the health sector, social service and police. Components in the intervention were e.g. policy development and implementation, education of managers and creation of a manager network.  In total, 48 enterprises participated. A questionnaire, concerning alcohol and drug use and social aspects, was distributed before and after the intervention. The firs questionnaire was answered by 611 (47%) respondents and 423 (34%) respondents the follow-up questionnaire after two years. In addition, five persons in the project group was interviewed after the intervention.  Based on survey data, comparisons before and after the intervention showed several positive results. The  results show a significant reduction of hazardous drinking and an  increased awareness of the companies’ alcohol- and drug policies among the employees. No significant effects on drug consumption were found. The project group reported better knowledge about alcohol and drugs. However, most important was the increased collaboration between managers in tourism industries. The intervention also resulted in new norm breaking ideas such as a sober end of the season instead of the traditional “drinking the bar dry” and managers taking employees out on hiking instead of going out for a beer. The conclusion is that seasonal tourism industries need to work with hazardous alcohol- and drug consumption from a “whole village perspective”. Successful health promotion work among seasonal employees, needs collaboration between private and public sector and should be related to cultural norms as well as working- and living conditions in the particular context, in this case the tourist resort.

  • On Time : A Qualitative Study of Swedish Students’, Parents’ and Teachers’ Views on School Attendance, with a Focus on Tardiness
  • 2020
  • Ingår i: International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. - : MDPI AG. - 1661-7827 .- 1660-4601. ; 17:4
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Tardiness is a common problem in many schools. It can be understood as an individual risk for future problematic behavior leading to absenteeism, school dropout, exclusion and later health problems. Tardiness can also be examined in relation to a broader social-ecological perspective on health. The aim of this study was to analyze students’, school staff’s and parents’ views on students’ tardiness in two Swedish schools. A focus group interview design was used with 21 school personnel, 21 students in grade nine and two parents. The data were analyzed by using thematic content analysis. The results illustrated the main theme—It depends on . . . —regarding what will happen if a student arrives late to school lessons. This finding is further explained by the subthemes about teachers’ signals and reactions and the responses from teachers and students. The conclusion showed the importance of organizing the school day more predictably for the students. Late arrival is a sign of shortcomings in a school organization. It is necessary to develop guidelines related to how to handle students’ late arrival based on predictable viewpoints but even more so on how to promote students’ sense of belonging and their interest in and motivation for going to school.

  • Experiences of job demand and control: A study of first line managers in for-profit psychiatric and addiction care

  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • BACKGROUND:The complex position of a first line manager is characterized by heavy workload and contradictory demands. Little is known about how first line managers experience demand and control in their work.OBJECTIVES:The aim of this study was to explore experiences of demand and control among first line managers within psychiatric and addiction care.METHOD:In the present study, interviews with ten managers in for-profit psychiatric and addiction care in Sweden were analyzed with a phenomenographic approach.RESULTS:The managers experiences of demand and control implied varied and extensive responsibilities for a wide range of professions; regulation by organizational, economic, and political frameworks; creating balance in their work; and handling the emergence and consequences of acute crisis. These experiences of demand and control involved high and contradictory demands together with coexisting high and low levels of control. Many of their work characteristics could be described in terms of both demand and control.CONSLUSION:The first line managers experiences of demand and control are more complex than implied by the job demand control theory. Our results suggest that the organizational position and branch should be considered when identifying health hazards in the work environment of first line managers.
