Such alignment is an organization-wide issue that influences the company's overall performance and its assessment is a fundamental input for the enterprise's managers to make informed decisions on SBITA enhancement possibilities. This paper reports the application of an Enterprise Architecture-based SBITA assessment metamodel in a case study conducted in an intensive IT service enterprise. The case study addresses two research questions: How can be applied the proposed Enterprise Architecture-based SBITA assessment metamodel in enterprises? and What is the quality and use of the results of such application? The authors have published the Enterprise Architecture-based SBITA assessment metamodel as a tool that combines the comprehensive and systematic modeling practices in the field of Enterprise Architecture with the guidance of tested and benchmarked SBITA assessment expert's method. Luftman's assessment method was selected in this research project.
