- According to the Swedish government, the Swedish general anti-avoidance rule that was already in place when the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive was adopted sufficiently implements the general anti-avoidance rule of the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive. The implementation strategy chosen raises questions of European Union (EU) law compatibility, as there are clearly differences between them. It also raises questions concerning the extent to which EU law will affect the interpretation of the Swedish general anti-avoidance rule in the future. The purpose of this article is to discuss these questions.

Unique or Adjustable Business Model for Distributed Ledger Technology?

- We examine whether business model concepts, that demonstrate significant convergence to Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) attributes, fit to DLT ecosystem characteristics and identify similarities and deflections. We answer the question whether the appropriate DLT business model is totally unique or adjustable and what conditions need to be met. The study follows a conceptual approach that is based on critical examination of three business model types that demonstrate similarities to the business model that an organization needs to adopt in order to fit in DLT ecosystem characteristics. Although each one of the network, digital and information business model types demonstrate similarities to DLT business model and reveal some resemblance with it, there are critical parameters that are neither addressed nor partially met. The main contribution of study is the exploration of the adjustable nature of the DLT business. Moreover, we highlighted the challenge for DLT ecosystem sustainability, defined and reviewed the conditions that need to be considered for DLT business model design.

- The Swedish Academy’s contemporary dictionaries, the glossary SAOL and the definition dictionary SO, have many features in common but they also show a lot of differences, especially in terms of content. Many of these differences can be explained with reference to the perspectives, traditions and publication year of the dictionaries. However, some differences are difficult to justify. For this reason, the editorial team of SAOL and SO is currently working on 1) identifying and 2) managing differences with respect to the information given in the two lexical resources. In this article, I discuss different types of differences, both motivated and unmotivated, between the dictionaries. The issue of priorities in the editorial work concerning unmotivated differences between SAOL and SO is also addressed.

- In this article I discuss problems related to the compilation of dictionaries for understudied languages that do not have a generally accepted written form. This task is in most cases undertaken by linguists with the purpose of describing and analyzing alanguage or by missionaries whose ultimate goal is to translate the Bible or other holy scriptures. As a case study, the structure of two different versions of a dictionary for Kammu, a minority language in Northern Laos, is described. One dictionary is primarily intended for linguists and other researchers, and the other one for the speakers of the language.

- Resumé Claims that liberal democracy is in crisis need to reckon with the fact that it is a social system historically premised on crisis and criticality. Protest and protesting can, from this standpoint, be viewed as constitutive boundary phenomena of liberal democracy. By considering liberal democracy as a critical life form from a biopolitical perspective, the aim of the article is to suggest how liberal democracy itself can protest art-critically and that this indicates a crisis of its critical life form that is rarely acknowledged. The article argues that the crisis of liberal democracy in Sweden is made visible in the racial aspects of art-critical protests. The claim is also that these art-critical protests, in their turn, must be understood through an analysis of the relationship between, on the one hand, art criticism and citizenship and, on the other, the class relation and capital accumulation. In the article, this is demonstrated through an account of the biopolitical function of the aesthetic culture of the critical tradition, followed by two recent examples of the art-critical protest of liberal democracy. Whereas one of these examples represents a liberal critique of identity politics in art, the other demonstrates a transgression of the liberal principle of arm’s length distance in culture policy. The article concludes that the aesthetic culture of the critical tradition, strategically taken over by the Social Democrats at the dawn of liberal democracy, enabled a continuous reformation of how politics in liberal democracy is organically developed, and that the art-critical protest of liberal democracy today challenges this critical life form.

Stability of enzyme immobilized on the nanofluidic channel surface

- The lifetime of an enzyme is critical to prevent system failure and optimize maintenance schedules in biological and analytical chemistry. The lifetime metrics of an enzyme can be evaluated from enzyme activity in terms of catalytic cycles per enzyme at various storage times. Trypsin, which is a gold-standard enzyme in proteomics, has been known to decrease activity due to self-digestion. To improve the activity of trypsin, enzyme reactors have developed by immobilizing in micro and nanospace. However, an evaluation method for the catalytic cycle has not been established due to major issues such as nonuniform space, unstable liquid transport, and self-digestion during immobilization in conventional work. To solve these issues, we have previously developed an ultra-fast enzyme reactor with a well-defined nanofabrication method, stable liquid transport, and partial enzyme modification. Here, we aimed to investigate catalytic cycles in a nanochannel. To extend enzyme lifetime efficiently, we have evaluated the optimal immobilization process and catalytic cycles of trypsin. As a result, immobilized enzyme densities by the trypsinogen immobilization process were increased at all concentrations compared to the trypsin immobilization process. To evaluate the lifetime of trypsin, the immobilized enzyme densities and activities were almost the same before and after 72 h of enzyme storage, and the calculated catalytic cycles were 1740. These results indicated that self-digestion of the immobilized enzyme was highly suppressed. Consequently, the reaction efficiency has been evaluated depending on the catalytic cycles from the substrate for the first time, while preventing self-digestion by trypsin.
