  • Lietuvių kalbos terminų automatinis atpažinimas ir apibrėžimas
  • 2015. - 1
  • Bok (refereegranskat)abstract

  • Theoretical Simulations of Structure and X-ray Photoelectron Spectra of Glycine and Diglycine Adsorbed on Cu(110)
  • 2013
  • Ingår i: Langmuir. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 0743-7463 .- 1520-5827. ; 29:32, s. 10194-10204
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The study of adsorption of glycine and glycylglycine (or diglycine) on a copper surface is an important step for the comprehension of mechanisms that determine the stability of biological functionalizers on metal substrates. These two molecules can be considered as prototypes and essential models to investigate, theoretically and experimentally, the adaptability of flexible short peptide chains to a definite interface. In this work, we have improved and updated earlier molecular dynamics simulations by including reactivity of the various species and the comparison of ab initio calculated C, N, and O core photoelectron chemical shifts with the ones found in previous studies. New diglycine-copper bonding is predicted, and the results of the chemical shift analysis are, in all cases, fully compatible with structural information obtained through experimental measurements. Moreover, we have found that the process of proton transfer, which is fundamental in the dynamics of amino acids and peptides, occurs mainly by intermolecular interaction between the first and second layer of the adsorbate.

  • A Deterministic-Path Routing Algorithm for Tolerating Many Faults on Wafer-Level NoC
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: 2019 DESIGN, AUTOMATION and TEST IN EUROPE CONFERENCE and EXHIBITION (DATE). - : IEEE. - 9783981926323 - 9781728103310 ; , s. 1337-1342
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Wafer-level NoC has emerged as a promising fabric to further improve supercomputer performance, but this new fabric may suffer from the many-fault problem. This paper presents a deterministic-path routing algorithm for tolerating many faults on wafer-level NoCs. The proposed algorithm generates routing tables using a breadth-first traversal strategy, and stores one routing table in each NoC switch. The switch will then transmit packages according to its routing table online. We use the Tarjan algorithm to dynamically reconfigure the routes to avoid the faulty nodes and develop the deprecated link/node rules to ensure deadlock-free communication of the NoCs. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm does not only tolerate the effects of many faults, but also maximizes the available nodes in the reconfigured NoC. The performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of average latency, throughput, and energy consumption is also better than those of the existing solutions.

  • Empowering ergonomy in workplaces by individual behavior modeling using interactive process mining paradigm
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Intelligent Environments 2018. - Amsterdam : IOS Press. - 9781614998730 - 9781614998747 ; , s. 346-354
  • Bokkapitel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Work-related disorders account for a significant part of total healthcareexpenditure. Traditionally muscle-skeletal disorders were predominant as source ofwork absenteeism but in last years work activity-related disorders have increasedremarkably. Too little activity at work, sedentarism, or too much work activity leadsto stress. The individualized behavioural analysis of patients could support ergon-omy experts in the optimization of workplaces in a Healthier way. Process MiningTechnologies can offer a human understandable view of what is actually occurringin workplaces in an individualized way. In this paper, we present a proof of con-cept of how Process Mining technologies can be used for discovering the workerflow in order to support the ergonomy experts in the selection of more accurateinterventions for improving occupational health.

  • Deep-learning image enhancement and fibre segmentation from time-resolved computed tomography of fibre-reinforced composites
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Composites Science and Technology. - 0266-3538. ; 244
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Monitoring the microstructure and damage development of fibre-reinforced composites during loading is crucial to understanding their mechanical properties. Time-resolved X-ray computed tomography enables such an in-situ, non-destructive study. However, the photon flux and fibre-matrix contrast limit its achievable spatial and temporal resolution. In this paper, we push the limits of temporal and spatial resolution for the microstructural analysis of unidirectional continuous carbon fibre-reinforced epoxy composites by establishing a new pipeline based on CycleGAN for unsupervised super-resolution and denoising and U-Net-id for individual fibre segmentation. After illustrating the benefits of a 3D CycleGAN over a 2D one, we show that data enhanced by this pipeline can yield similar segmentation quality to that of a slow-acquisition, high-quality scan that took up to 200 times longer to acquire. This pipeline, therefore, enables more robust data extraction from fast time-resolved X-ray tomography, removing a critical stumbling block for this technique.

  • Knowing-in-Practice, Its Traces and Ingredients
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: The Posthumanist Epistemology of Practice Theory. - Cham : Palgrave Macmillan. - 9783031422751 - 9783031422782 - 9783031422768 ; , s. 37-69
  • Bokkapitel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This chapter inquires into how two specific types of epistemic artefacts—traces and ingredients—work together and against each other in conveying understanding of past knowledge-making activities. The discussion draws from an analysis of Swedish and French archaeological investigation reports and from how they, as traces and ingredients, contribute to knowing-in-practice in multiple parallel ways as a part of archaeological practice—literally in practice. Traces and ingredients have different epistemic opportunities and limitations to act as records of the past and goads to action even if many traces can act as ingredients and vice versa albeit with certain limitations that are useful to be aware of. Being aware of how an epistemic artefact works in an epistemic sense—for example as a trace or an ingredient—can help to use them accordingly to what they are capable of, to avoid uses that go against their potential, and to develop better ones.
