  • Aquaporins in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
  • 2021
  • Ingår i: APMIS. - : Wiley. - 0903-4641 .- 1600-0463. ; 129:12, s. 700-705
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Aquaporins are water channel proteins facilitating passive transport of water across cellular membranes. Aquaporins are over- or ectopically expressed in a multitude of cancers, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, which is a highly aggressive cancer with low survival rate. Evidence suggests that aquaporins can affect multiple cellular processes involved in cancer development and progression including epithelial-mesenchymal transition, cellular migration, cell proliferation, invasion, and cellular adhesions. In pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, aquaporin-1, aquaporin-3, and aquaporin-5 are overexpressed and have been associated with metastatic processes and poor survival. Thus, aquaporin expression has been suggested as diagnostic markers and therapeutic targets in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.

  • High-resolution measurement of the ¹⁶O(γ,pn) reaction
  • 1996
  • Doktorsavhandling (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The 16O(gamma,pn) reaction has been measured with a resolution high enough to resolve individual low-lying states in the residual 14N nucleus. The relative population of the states provides detailed information about the quantum numbers of the proton-neutron pairs on which photons are absorbed. Partial cross-sections, available to the acceptance of the detector system, have been extracted for the individual states, and compared to a recent calculation based on absorption on one-pion exchange currents and the Delta-resonance current. The experiment was performed at the Maxlab accelerator laboratory in Lund, Sweden, using tagged photons at an energy of 67-76 MeV. The proton detector angular range was 60-100 degrees and the corresponding number for the neutron detector was 81-103 degrees. A missing-energy resolution of 1.5 MeV was obtained. The relative population of the states in the residual 14N nucleus indicates that the (gamma,pn) reaction takes place predominantly on proton-neutron pairs coupled to (J^pi,T) = (1^+,0), where J is the total angular momentum of the pair, pi is the parity and T is the isospin. The cross-section for absorption on (0^+,1) pairs is strongly suppressed. Furthermore, the relative population of the states indicates that both L=0 and L=2 pairs participate in the reaction, where L is the angular momentum of the center-of-mass of the pair.

  • A Comparative Analysis of Behavioral Models for RF Power Amplifiers
  • 2006
  • Ingår i: IEEE transactions on microwave theory and techniques. - 0018-9480 .- 1557-9670. ; 54:1, s. 348-359
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A comparative study of nonlinear behavioral models with memory for radio-frequency power amplifier (PAs) is presented. The models are static polynomial, parallel Hammerstein (PH), Volterra, and radial basis-function neural network (RBFNN). Two PAs were investigated: one was designed for the third-generation (3G) mobile telecommunication systems and one was designed for the second-generation (2G). The RBFNN reduced the total model error slightly more than the PH, but the error out of band was significantly lower for the PH. The Volterra was found to give a lower model error than did a PH of the same nonlinear order and memory depth. The PH could give a lower model error than the best Volterra, since the former could be identified with a higher nonlinear order and memory depth. The qualitative conclusions are the same for the 2G and 3G PAs, but the model errors are smaller for the latter. For the 3G PA, a static polynomial gave a low model error as low as the best PH and lower than the RBFNN for the hardest cross validation. The models with memory, PH, and RBFNN, showed better cross-validation performance, in terms of lower model errors, than a static polynomial for the hardest cross validation of the 2G PA.

  • On Einstein equations on manifolds and supermanifolds
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: Journal of Nonlinear Mathematical Physics. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 1402-9251 .- 1776-0852. ; 9:4, s. 394-425
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Einstein equations (EE) are certain conditions on the Riemann tensor on the real Minkowski space M. In the twistor picture, after complexification and compactification M becomes the Grassmannian Gr(2)(4) of 2-dimensional subspaces in the 4-dimensional complex one. Here we answer for which of the classical domains considered as manifolds with G-structure it is possible to impose conditions similar in some sense to EE. The above investigation has its counterpart on superdomains: an analog of the Riemann tensor is defined for any super manifold with G-structure with any Lie supergroup G. We also derive similar analogues of EE on supermanifolds. Our analogs of EE are not what physicists consider as SUGRA (supergravity), for SUGRA see [16,34].
