  • Observations and modelling of line intensity ratios of OV multiplet line
  • 1996
  • Ingår i: Journal of Physics B. - : IOP Publishing. - 0953-4075 .- 1361-6455. ; 29:18, s. 4241-4253
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Line intensity ratios of OV multiplet lines for the 2s3s(3)S(1)-2s3p(3)P(j) (J = 2,1,0) transitions are studied using a collisional radiative model and the results-are compared with measurements from the reversed field pinch experiments Extrap T1 and T2 at KTH. The measured line intensity ratios deviate from the predictions of the model and the possible causes for the discrepancy are discussed with regard to errors in rate coefficients and non-quasi-steady state.

  • Autoionization widths of the NO Rydberg-valence state complex in the 11-12 eV region
  • 1995
  • Ingår i: Chemical Physics Letters. - Elsevier. - 0009-2614 .- 1873-4448. ; 239, s. 6-10
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The photoion excitation spectra of 14NO and 15NO have been studied in the 105-112 nm excitation region usinghigh-order harmonic laser spectroscopy. Utilizing the small bandwidth offered by this technique, the natural widths ofprominent lines in this region have been measured. These lines originate from interactions between high-lying Rydberglevels converging to the NO + electronic ground state and a 'new' NO valence state situated close to the latter state. Thepresent measurements show broad resonances corresponding to a decay time of 20-50 fs. This supports the interpretationthat the decay takes place via rapid electronic autoionization.

  • Photoionization processes in NO in the threshold region
  • 1997
  • Ingår i: Chemical Physics Letters. - 0009-2614 .- 1873-4448. ; 273, s. 239-246
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The photoion excitation spectrum of NO has been measured in the 9.26-13.8 eV region using synchrotron light and the isotopic targets 14N160, 15N160 and 15N180. The resulting complex spectra have been interpreted using ab initio results based on many-body theory. The ab initio predictions suggest that the structure follows from autoionizations of four repulsive valence states of 2y~ symmetry and interactions between an attractive 2A valence state and Rydberg series converging to the NO + ground state.

  • Quasi two-step dissociation effects observed in the core excited OCS molecule
  • 1998
  • Ingår i: Chemical Physics Letters. - : Elsevier. - 0009-2614 .- 1873-4448. ; 285, s. 71-76
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Studies of the decay dynamics following carbon 1s and sulfur 2p electron excitations of the OCS molecule using the photoelectron–photoion–photoion coincidence method and a synchrotron radiation source are presented. A Monte Carlo code is utilized to interpret the data obtained, which together with previous measurements including branching ratios, kinetic energy distributions and ionic b-parameters give new information on the dynamics of three-body dissociation processes. The results indicate that the instantaneous and sequential dissociation models should be replaced by quasi two-step models.
