Remote Driving Operation (REDO) project : final report

- This report presents experimental setups and findings from the REDO project, which had been conducted between December 2019 and February 2023. Five main topics are covered in this report: 1) Effects of latency and field-of-view on driving performance; 2) Remote driving feedback and control; 3) Connectivity and mobile network support for remote driving; 4) Video transmission for remote driving; and 5) Laws and regulations concerning remote driving. Contents of this report dives into technical details and findings within each topic. Nevertheless, this report does not intend to repeat all detail and results published in scientific publications, and thus this report should be seen as complementary material to the published results.

- I framtiden måste vi bestämma oss för hur vi på ett rationellt, kvalitetssäkrat och digitalt sätt ska hantera produktinformation i byggsektorn. Visionen är att basera harmoniserad digital kvalitetsäkrad produktinformation på en internationellt användbar datamall.Grunderna för digitala datamallar och hur de tas fram beskrivs i standarderna ISO 23386/7 och ISO 23387.En ifylld datamall kallas ett datablad. I det här genomförda tillämpningstestet (proof of concept, PoC) av datamallar är syftet att kommunicera produktinformation digitalt i värdekedjan från materialtillverkan till dess att byggprodukten levererats till byggarbetsplatsen.I tillämpningstestet ingår flera materiatillverkare som har varit testpiloter för att ta fram datablad enligt datamalls-konceptet. Piloterna har tagit fram datablad för prestandadeklarationen (DoP) som är kopplat till produktens CE-märkning, samt för en EPD baserat på den globala datamallen som beskrivs i standarden ISO 22057.

Understanding individual investors’ preferences and knowledge of sustainable investments

- This thesis aims to contribute to the field of sustainable investment by investigating individual investors’ preferences and knowledge level of sustainable investments. To achieve this objective, this thesis examined the impact of investment-related attitudes and demographic characteristics on sustainable investment choices through secondary data analysis and assessed investors’ knowledge level regarding sustainable investments through a survey. Both the secondary data and the survey used individual investors in Nordic regions as the sample. The data analysis was performed using logistic regression and ordinary least square regression methods. The results show that risk-averse investors and investors with shorter investment horizons were more likely to choose sustainable investments. In terms of sociodemographic characteristics, sustainable investments were preferred by older, female, and less wealthy clients. Furthermore, after understanding the characteristics of individuals with sustainable investment choices, this thesis measured the knowledge level of sustainable investors and examine the relationship between investors’ knowledge level and information-seeking and advice-seeking behavior. The findings suggest that most sustainable investors had high objective financial literacy but scored low in sustainability knowledge and even lower in sustainable finance literacy. Sustainable investors search for information more actively when they have a high perceived knowledge compared to their actual knowledge. In evaluating advice-seeking behavior, it was discovered that sustainable investors who perceive themselves to be more financially literate are more likely to receive advice on sustainable investments from financial advisors. Yet, those who saw themselves as having greater sustainability literacy were less inclined to consult their financial advisors before making sustainable investing decisions. In regards to product literacy, this study found that the key information about the dark green fund, with the highest sustainable disclosure requirements, was not easy to understand compared to the ones with lower requirements.

- Om bokenNu publiceras andra upplagan av Hugo Tibergs klassiska verk Kreditsäkerhet i fartyg från år 1968. Såväl sjöfartsnäringen som formerna för fartygsfinansiering har förändrats kraftigt under de år som har gått sedan den första upplagan utgavs. Den nya upplagan utgör därför en starkt moderniserad framställning av de rättsregler som berör fartygsfinansiering. I boken diskuteras såväl skeppshypoteket som äganderättsförbehåll i båtar. Sjöpanträtten och retentionsrätten i fartyg är ytterligare frågor som behandlas. Slutligen berörs även frågor om exekution i fartyg.För den nya upplagan har professorerna Annina H. Persson och Johan Schelin svarat under medverkan av lektor Jeanette Andersson, bankjuristen Sebastian Bierfeldt Liptak och advokaten Mattias Widlund. Den ursprunglige författaren professor emeritus Hugo Tiberg har övervakat arbetet.

Discrepancy in responses to the surprise question between hemodialysis nurses and physicians, with focus on patient clinical characteristics : A comparative study

- Introduction: The surprise question (SQ) "Would I be surprised if this patient died within the next xx months" can be used by different professions to foresee the need of serious illness conversations in patients approaching end of life. However, little is known about the different perspectives of nurses and physicians in responses to the SQ and factors influencing their appraisals. The aim was to explore nurses' and physicians' responses to the SQ regarding patients on hemodialysis, and to investigate how these answers were associated with patient clinical characteristics. Methods: This comparative cross-sectional study included 361 patients for whom 112 nurses and 15 physicians responded to the SQ regarding 6 and 12 months. Patient characteristics, performance status, and comorbidities were obtained. Cohen's kappa was used to analyze the interrater agreement between nurses and physicians in their responses to the SQ and multivariable logistic regression was applied to reveal the independent association to patient clinical characteristics. Findings: Proportions of nurses and physicians responding to the SQ with "no, not surprised" was similar regarding 6 and 12 months. However, there was a substantial difference concerning which specific patient the nurses and physicians responded "no, not surprised", within 6 (kappa = 0.366, p < 0.001, 95% CI = 0.288-0.474) and 12 months (kappa = 0.379, p < 0.001, 95% CI = 0.281-0.477). There were also differences in the patient clinical characteristics associated with nurses' and physicians' responses to the SQ. Discussion: Nurses and physicians have different perspectives in their appraisal when responding to the SQ for patients on hemodialysis. This may reinforce the need for communication and discussion between nurses and physicians to identify the need of serious illness conversations in patients approaching the end of life, in order to adapt hemodialysis care to patient preferences and needs.
