  • Non H.pylori Helicobacter Identified as H.heilmannii in Gastric Biopsy samples in humans with gasteric disorders by PCR and Microscopic Methods in IRAN (First Report)
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: Europen Journal Of Zoological Research. - 2278-7356. ; 3:1, s. 92-96
  • Tidskriftsartikel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The Discovery of Helicobacter pylori in 1982 increased interest in the range of other spiral bacteria that had been seen in Stomach. The power of technologies such as the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with genus specific primers revealed that many of these bacteria belong to the genus Helicobacter. These non-pylori helicobacters are increasingly being found in human clinical specimens. Non-pylori Helicobacters are Gram-negative, motile, long, tightly coiled, Spiral bacteria ,with three to eight coils, that cause of some gastric problems like gastritis, peptic ulceration and Mcosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue (MALT) lynphoma in animals and humans. Samples taken during endoscopy were analyzed by rapid urease test, PCR and light microscope(Giemsa and Gram staining). In this study 810 biopsy samples from 270 patients with gastric disorders were collected. Presence of Helicobacters confirmed by a positive urease test and Helicobacter genus specific PCR method utilized. DNA was prepared from biopsies using the Qiamp tissue kit (QIAGEN Inc., Valencia, Calif.) and frozen at -20°C (like gastric samples/biopsies). DNA samples were amplified with 16SrRNA gene primers against Helicobacter species. In gastric biopsy specimen's non-pylori helicobacter spp., have been observed. At the end of the study we found that 71% of urease tests, 0.37% of light microscopic studies (we observed some spiral gram negative bacteria with 2-7 coils) and 0.74% of PCR tests were positive. In analysis with PCR route 2 person (both of them were Male) were infected with H.heilmannii-like organisms( one of them kept a dog for 5 years as a pet).16S rRNA gene amplification was performed on 270 DNA samples and results were positive for H.heilmannii in two cases (275-bp), but negative for H.bizzozeronnii,H.felis and H. Salmonis

  • Increased expression of IRF4 and ETS1 in CD4+ cells from patients with intermittent allergic rhinitis
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Allergy. European Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. - : John Wiley and Sons. - 0105-4538 .- 1398-9995. ; 67:1, s. 33-40
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Background: The transcription factor (TF) IRF4 is involved in the regulation of Th1, Th2, Th9, and Th17 cells, and animal studies have indicated an important role in allergy. However, IRF4 and its target genes have not been examined in human allergy. Methods: IRF4 and its target genes were examined in allergen-challenged CD4+ cells from patients with IAR, using combined gene expression microarrays and chromatin immunoprecipitation chips (ChIP-chips), computational target prediction, and RNAi knockdowns. Results: IRF4 increased in allergen-challenged CD4+ cells from patients with IAR, and functional studies supported its role in Th2 cell activation. IRF4 ChIP-chip showed that IRF4 regulated a large number of genes relevant to Th cell differentiation. However, neither Th1 nor Th2 cytokines were the direct targets of IRF4. To examine whether IRF4 induced Th2 cytokines via one or more downstream TFs, we combined gene expression microarrays, ChIP-chips, and computational target prediction and found a putative intermediary TF, namely ETS1 in allergen-challenged CD4+ cells from allergic patients. ETS1 increased significantly in allergen-challenged CD4+ cells from patients compared to controls. Gene expression microarrays before and after ETS1 RNAi knockdown showed that ETS1 induced Th2 cytokines as well as disease-related pathways. Conclusions: Increased expression of IRF4 in allergen-challenged CD4+ cells from patients with intermittent allergic rhinitis leads to activation of a complex transcriptional program, including Th2 cytokines.

  • Meta-analysis identifies six new susceptibility loci for atrial fibrillation
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Nature Genetics. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 1546-1718 .- 1061-4036. ; 44:6, s. 88-670
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Atrial fibrillation is a highly prevalent arrhythmia and a major risk factor for stroke, heart failure and death(1). We conducted a genome-wide association study (GWAS) in individuals of European ancestry, including 6,707 with and 52,426 without atrial fibrillation. Six new atrial fibrillation susceptibility loci were identified and replicated in an additional sample of individuals of European ancestry, including 5,381 subjects with and 10,030 subjects without atrial fibrillation (P < 5 x 10(-8)). Four of the loci identified in Europeans were further replicated in silico in a GWAS of Japanese individuals, including 843 individuals with and 3,350 individuals without atrial fibrillation. The identified loci implicate candidate genes that encode transcription factors related to cardiopulmonary development, cardiac-expressed ion channels and cell signaling molecules.

  • A communication-aware solution framework for mapping AUTOSAR runnables on multi-core systems
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: 19th IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation, ETFA 2014. - 9781479948468 ; , s. Article number 7005244-
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • An AUTOSAR-based software application contains a set of software components, each of which encapsulates a set of runnable entities. In fact, the mission of the system is fulfilled as result of the collaboration between the runnables. Several trends have recently emerged to utilize multi-core technology to run AUTOSAR-based software. Not only the overhead of communication between the runnables is one of the major performance bottlenecks in multi-core processors but it is also the main source of unpredictability in the system. Appropriate mapping of the runnables onto a set of tasks (called mapping process) along with proper allocation of the tasks to processing cores (called task allocation process) can significantly reduce the communication overhead. In this paper, three solutions are suggested, each of which comprises both the mapping and the allocation processes. The goal is to maximize key performance aspects by reducing the overall inter-runnable communication time besides satisfying given timing and precedence constraints. A large number of randomly generated experiments are carried out to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed solutions.

  • Business Process Modeling for Domain Inbound Logistics System : Analytical Perspective with BPMN 2.0
  • 2013
  • Ingår i: Journal of Basic and Applied Scientific Research. - : Textroad. - 2090-4304. ; 3:9, s. 569-578
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Among different Business Process Management strategies and methodologies, one common feature is to captureexisting processes and representing the new processes adequately. Business Process Modelling (BPM) plays acrucial role on such an effort. This paper proposes a “to-be” inbound logistics business processes model usingBPMN 2.0 standard specifying the structure and behaviour of the system within the SME environment. Thegeneric framework of inbound logistics model consists of one main high-level module-based system namedOrder System comprising of four main sub-systems of the Order core, Procure, Auction, and Purchase systems. The system modelingis elaborately discussed to provide a business analytical perspective from various activitiesin inbound logistics system. Since the main purpose of the paper is to map out the functionality and behaviour ofLogistics system requirements, employing the model is of a great necessity on the future applications at systemdevelopment such as in the data modelling effort. Moreover, employing BPMN 2.0 method and providingexplanatory techniques as a nifty guideline and framework to assist the business process practitioners, analystsand managers at identical systems.

  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper proposes a generic"to-be" business processes model for domain highest-level outbound logistics system representing the possible alternative structure and behaviour of the system in respect to x-party logistics services applicable in Small-to-medium sized enterprises. The generic framework of outbound logistics model consists of one main modular system named as the Shipping System including five internal sub-systems of the shipping core, shipping requirement, First Party Logistics (1PL), Third Party Logistics (3PL) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. The shipping system business process model supports all outbound logistics activities interacting with the customer, 3PL provider and other back office systems such as order system and inventory system. The modelling procedure is elaborately discussed to provide a business analytical view from various activities within the outbound logistics system. Moreover, the model provides essential knowledge input for system development and improvement through capturing all significant highest-level business process and sub-processes and revealing potential automation capabilities on data capturingas well as the process monitoring.
