- Much time and effort is wasted both within and between industry, commerce, government and professional and academic institutions when ambiguities arise as a result of the inability to differentiate adequately between such terms as 'change control' and 'change management'; 'configuration management policy' and 'configuration management plan' and similar terms which form an interface between various sectors of society. Moreover, the professional or technical use of these terms is often at variance with different meanings attributed to them. This document presents terms and definitions designed to aid communication in configuration management and related disciplines. The glossary has been arranged in a single section of definitions ordered alphabetically. Some terms are preferred to other synonymous ones, in which case, the definition of the preferred term appears, with the synonymous ones referring to that. For example 'change control' refers to 'configuration control'. For synonyms, the "See" indicator is used. "See also" cross-references are also used. They assist the user to quickly navigate to the right index term. "See also" cross-references are constructed for relationships such as broader term to a narrower term, and overlapping meaning between two terms.

- In this paper, we study the downlink (DL) spectral efficiency (SE) of a cell-free massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system with Rician fading channels. The phase of the line-of-sight (LoS) path is modeled as a uniformly distributed random variable to take the phase-shifts due to mobility and phase noise into account. Considering the availability of prior information at the access points (APs), the phase-aware minimum mean square error (MMSE) and non-aware linear MMSE (LMMSE) estimators are derived. The MMSE estimator requires perfectly estimated phase knowledge whereas the LMMSE is derived without it. Besides, two different transmission modes are studied: coherent and non-coherent. Closed-form DL SE expressions for both coherent and non-coherent transmission with maximum-ratio (MR) precoding are derived for the two estimators. Numerical results show that the performance loss due to the lack of phase information is small and coherent transmission mode performs much better than non-coherent transmission.

On the Impact of Hardware Impairments on RIS-aided Localization

- We investigate a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-aided near-field localization system with single-antenna user equipment (UE) and base station (BS) under hardware impairments by considering a practical phase-dependent RIS amplitude variations model. To analyze the localization performance under the mismatch between the practical model and the ideal model with unit-amplitude RIS elements, we employ the misspecified Cramér-Rao bound (MCRB). Based on the MCRB derivation, the lower bound (LB) on the mean-squared error for estimation of UE position is evaluated and shown to converge to the MCRB at low signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). Simulation results indicate more severe performance degradation due to the model misspecification with increasing SNR. In addition, the mismatched maximum likelihood (MML) estimator is derived and found to be tight to the LB in the high SNR regime. Finally, we observe that the model mismatch can lead to an order-of-magnitude localization performance loss at high SNRs.

- A path model of organizational creativity was presented; it conceptualized the influences of information sharing, learning culture, motivation, and networking on creative climate. A structural equation model was fitted to data from the pharmaceutical industry to test the proposed model. The model accounted for 86% of the variance in the creative climate-dependent variable. Information sharing had a positive effect on learning culture, which in turn had a positive effect on creative climate, while there were negative direct effects of information sharing on creative climate and on intrinsic motivation. This study suggests that information sharing and intrinsic motivation are important drivers for organizational creativity in a complex R&D environment in the pharmaceutical industry. Implications of the model are discussed.
