  • Properties of a dinuclear Mn(III,III) complex with a tri-phenolate ligand N4O3 (3-) and a new complex containing a ligand covalently linked to ruthenium tris-bipyridine
  • 2004
  • Ingår i: Huaxue xuebao. - 0567-7351. ; 62:9, s. 916-922
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A new high valent complex [Mn-2(III, III)L(mu-OAc)(2)].PF6 (2a) was prepared, where L was the trianion of 2, 6-bis {[(2-hydroxy-5-tert-butylbenzyl) (pyridyl-2-methyl)-amino]-methyl}-4-methylphenol, which contains two additional phenolate groups and two tert-butyl groups compared to its parent [Mn-2(II, II)(bpmp)(mu-OAc)(2)].ClO4 (1). These improvements narrowed the disparity between the new model and (Mn)(4) cluster (OEC in nature). Moreover, L was modified to be covalently linked with Ru(II) tris-bipyridine through an amide bond to construct a complex 2b for the study of photoinduced electron transfer (PET). UV-vis, IR, emission spectra and electrochemistry were used to investigate their photochemistry properties. The results showed that 2b has good photochemistry properties and the E-1/2 of Ru3+/Ru2+ was higher than those of phenol(+)/phenol and Mn(III, IV)/Mn(III, III). After coordination of manganese ions, the electron transfer process in the model complex conforms to the basic principles of electron donor side of photosystem II (PS II) in nature.

  • Identification of Ga-interstitial defects in GaNyP1−y and AlxGa1−xNyP1−y
  • 2004
  • Ingår i: Physical Review B. Condensed Matter and Materials Physics. - : APS. - 1098-0121 .- 1550-235X. ; 70:12, s. 121201-
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Two Ga -interstitial (Gai) defects are identified by optically detected magnetic resonance as common grown-in defects in molecular beam epitaxial GaNyP1−y and AlxGa1−xNyP1−y. Characteristic hyperfine structure arising from spin interaction between an unpaired electron and a Ga nucleus is clearly resolved. The observed strong and nearly isotropic hyperfine interaction reveals an electron wave function of A1 symmetry that is highly localized at the Gai and thus a deep-level defect. Our analysis based on first-principles calculations suggests that these defects are complexes containing one Gai2+ .

  • Sensors' network and its application in the intelligent storage security
  • 2004
  • Ingår i: UNMANNED/UNATTENDED SENSORS AND SENSOR NETWORKS. - : SPIE. - 0819455644 ; , s. 255-264
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Intelligent storage systems run on different advanced technologies, such as linear layout, business intelligence and data mining. Security, the basic desire of the storage system, has been focused on with the indraught of multimedia communication technology and sensors' network. Along with the developing of science and the social demands, multifarious alarming system has been designed and improved to be intelligentized, modularized and have network connections. It is of great moment to make the storage, and further more, the logistics system more and more efficient and perfect with modern science and technology. Diversified information on the spot should be caught by different kinds of sensors. Those signals are treated and communicated to the control center to give the further actions. For fire-proofing, broad-spectrum gas sensors, fume sensors, flame sensors and temperature sensors are used to catch the information in their own ways. Once the fire is taken somewhere, the sensors work by the fume, temperature, and flame as well as gas immediately. Meanwhile the intelligent control system starts. It passes the tidings to the center unit. At the same time, it sets those movable walls on to work quickly to obstruct the fire's spreading. While for guarding the warehouse against theft, cut-off sensors, body sensors, photoelectric sensors, microwave sensors and closed-circuit television as well as electronic clocks are available to monitor the warehouse reasonably. All of those sensors work in a net way. The intelligent control system is made with a digital circuit instead of traditional switch one. This system can work in a better way in many cases. Its reliability is high and the cost is low.

  • Doped ceria-chloride composite electrolyte for intermediate temperature ceramic membrane fuel cells
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: Materials letters (General ed.). - 0167-577X .- 1873-4979. ; 53:3, s. 186-192
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A kind of oxide-salt composite electrolyte, gadolinium-doped ceria (GDC)-LiCl-SrCl2, prepared with hot-press technique, shows superior ionic conductivity, which is 2-10 times higher than that of GDC itself at the temperature range of 400-600 degreesC. More interestingly, not like the GDC electrolyte, which has some extent of electronic conduction under reducing atmosphere, the composite electrolyte is almost a pure ionic conductor, evidenced by the fuel cell's (FC) open circuit voltage (OCV) close to the theoretical one. The fuel cells based on this composite electrolyte show excellent power density output even at temperature as low as 500 degreesC (240 mW cm(-2)) in spite of the relatively thick electrolyte (0.4 mm). Such high performance, in combination with its low cost in both raw materials and fabrication process, make this kind of composite electrolyte a good candidate electrolyte material for future ultra-low-cost intermediate temperature ceramic membrane fuel cells (IT-CMFCs).

  • Intermediate temperature fuel cells based on doped ceria-LiCl-SrCl2 composite electrolyte
  • 2002
  • Ingår i: Journal of Power Sources. - 0378-7753 .- 1873-2755. ; 104:1, s. 73-78
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A new type of oxide-salt composite electrolyte, gadolinium-doped ceria (GDC)-LiCl-SrCl2, was developed and demonstrated its promising use for intermediate temperature (400-700 degreesC) fuel cells (ITFCs). The dc electrical conductivity of this composite electrolyte (0.09-0.13 S cm(-1) at 500-650 degreesC) was 3-10 times higher than that of the pure GDC electrolyte, indicating remarkable proton or oxygen ion conduction existing in the LiCl-SrCl2 chloride salts or at the interface between GDC and the chloride salts. Using this composite electrolyte, peak power densities of 260 and 510 mW cm(-2), with current densities of 650 and 1250 mA cm(-2) were achieved at 550 and 625 degreesC, respectively. This makes the new material a good candidate electrolyte for future low-cost ITFCs.
