- Jewellery and dress consitutes a costume, and they are interlinked. Bronze Age jewellery is analyzed for use wear to identity recurring patterns linked to how they were worn on the body. All jewellery exhibited a surface wear cause by a covering garment. THis garment was identified as the large tubular pieces of dress found in all female graves with well preserved dress. Thus the female costume consisted of a short dress /Corded skirt) and a large coverring garment. Bronze jewellery were carried on the body both summer and winter and were thus an integrated part of the costume.
