Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- This paper discusses changing views about gender and drinking in Sweden c. 1830-4922. The author posits that the emergence of bourgeois morals in the 19th century were associated with a decline in the tolerance for female alcohol consumption, and also shows how the values, norms, and activities of the temperance movement interconnected with religion and notions of purity. Yet, in spite of hardening attitudes against women's drinking, alcohol remained integral in Swedish upper-class women's lives. The results are based on a qualitative study of Swedish women's diaries. The study was financed by the Swedish Research Council, 2009-2012. Study limitations are also noted.

Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
- This is the introduction to the anthology Game Love:Essays on Play and Affection. The first 10 pages were written by Jessica Enevold and the ensuing chapter presentations by Esther MacCallum-Stewart. The whole book was edited together by Enevold & MacCallum-Stewart based on an idea by Jessica Enevold. The Introduction explains the background of the anthology, including an introduction to the ontological model for analyzing game love in games, first drawn up by Jessica Enevold in 2008. It places the book within a context of computer games research, digital culture and HCI-research, making clear some of the connections and selections between previous research of games and emotions and affect and the human component, the player and other roles, of playing games.

Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- Recent work in the field of feminist institutionalism has made important progress in furthering our understanding of gendered institutional change. I argue that gradual ideational changes play an essential role in processes of gendered institutional change, and that examining the interaction between ideas and gendered institutions is of great importance for gaining a better understanding of processes of this type. This article revisits an empirical study of gendered institutional change in Swedish prostitution policy in the effort to specify two idea-based mechanisms that are conducive to gendered change, namely, consensus concerning the problem and gendering of the problem.

Familiar Stories, the Policing of Knowledge and Other Challenges Ahead

Bokkapitel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
- It is the case that sexual violence (when noticed at all) has historically been understood to happen largely, if not only, to women, allegedly because of their gender and their ensuing place in gender orders. This begs important questions regarding the impact of increasing knowledge about sexual violence against men, including the impact on resources, on understandings about, and experiences of masculinity, and whether the idea and practice of gender hierarchy is outdated. This book engages this diverse set of questions and offers fresh analysis on the incidences of sexual violence against men using both new and existing data. Additionally, the authors pay close attention to some of the controversial debates in the context of sexual violence against men, revisiting and asking new questions about the vexed issue of masculinities and related theories of gender hierarchy.
