  • Supplementary dataset to self-learning training compared with instructor-led training in basic life support.
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 25
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this article, we present supplementary data to the article entitled "Self-learning training versus instructor-led training in basic life support: a cluster randomised trial" [1]. In three supplementary files, we present the informed consent of the included participants, the modified instrument to calculate the total score for practical skills called "the Cardiff Test of basic life support and automated external defibrillation" and the questionnaire to obtain background factors, theoretical knowledge, self-assessed knowledge and confidence and willingness to act, distributed directly after training and six months after training. The results of comparisons between "directly after intervention" and "six months after intervention", for each training group separately, are presented in three tables. We also present two tables showing the reasons why the participants were not prepared to perform compressions and/or ventilations in the event of a sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.

  • Example dataset for the hMRI toolbox
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409.
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The hMRI toolbox is an open-source toolbox for the calculation of quantitative MRI parameter maps from a series of weighted imaging data, and optionally additional calibration data. The multi-parameter mapping (MPM) protocol, incorporating calibration data to correct for spatial variation in the scanner’s transmit and receive fields, is the most complete protocol that can be handled by the toolbox. Here we present a dataset acquired with such a full MPM protocol, which is made freely available to be used as a tutorial by following instructions provided on the associated toolbox wiki pages, which can be found at http://hMRI.info, and following the theory described in: hMRI – A toolbox for quantitative MRI in neuroscience and clinical research.

  • Proteome profiling of secreted and membrane vesicle associated proteins of an invasive and a commensal Staphylococcus haemolyticus isolate
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier. - 2352-3409. ; 22, s. 914-919
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Bacterial membrane vesicles (MVs) mediate bacterial virulence by enabling secretion and long distance delivery of bacterial effector molecules. Staphylococcus haemolyticus has now been demonstrated to produce membrane vesicles (MVs). The protein content of S. haemolyticus MVs was identified by Mass spectrometry and compared to proteins identified in the total secretome. This information is presented in this data article. Further background and interpretation of the data can be found in the article: Comparative exoproteome profiling of an invasive and a commensal S. haemolyticus isolate (Cavanagh et al., in press). Data are available via Proteome Xchange with identifier PXD010389.

  • Data on Drosophila clots and hemocyte morphologies using GFP-tagged secretory proteins : Prophenoloxidase and transglutaminase
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 25
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Insect hemolymph coagulation: Kinetics of classically and non-classically secreted clotting factors Schmid et al., 2019. The linked article demonstrates the localization of two secretory proteins in Drosophila melanogaster, Prophenoloxidase (PPO2) and Transglutaminase-A (Tg) in hemocytes as well the clot with different tissue-specific drivers. Here we provide further data for the usefulness of the GFP-tagged version of the two crosslinking enzymes that are involved in clot hardening. The morphology of crystal cells is described using GFP-tagged PPO2 rather than with the use of antibodies in ex vivo hemolymph preparations. The use of the GFP-tagged proteins PPO2 and Tg is shown in additional contexts.

  • Computational simulation data using the Lattice Boltzmann method to generate correlations for gas diffusion layer parameters
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 27
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Analyzing the fluid behavior in complex porous media like gas diffusion layers (GDLs) in polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs) can be accurately done using the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). This article shows the data obtained from a study in which diffusion parameters such as porosity, gas phase tortuosity and diffusibility are computed considering simulated porous media [1]. The data were computed when a water drop obstacle is placed inside the GDL domain and the size of the water-drop is varied. Additionally, figures showing the evolution of the flow velocity field are presented alongside graphics that presents the change in local and bulk porosity for each obstacle size. Finally, there is a detailed method explanation concerning the implementation of the lattice Boltzmann method and a general description of computational codes for the domain and obstacle generation as well as the boundary conditions simulation. Data and processes in this article can be exploited in new attempts to solve real case problems in complex mesoscale media.

  • Performance experimental data of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell considering the variation of the relative humidity of reactants gases
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 27
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The data collected in this article is based on a performance test of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC). The behavior the different parameters of a PEFC is analyzed considering different aspects relative to the inlet gases temperatures. The fuel cell was evaluated by means of a current sweep at different percentages of relative humidity between the feed gas and the cell. The relative humidity values were established by means of the temperature setting. The data presented show the experimental response of the cell in real time, which can be used to perform a depth analysis or they can be a starting point for material and performance investigation. In addition, charts presenting the voltage and power density behavior as a function of the volumetric flows of the anode (H2) as well as cathode (O2). The data presented in this article are originally from our research performed in [1].

  • Dataset on multichannel connectivity and video transmission carried on commercial 3G/4G networks in southern Sweden
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 25
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • In this data article, we report real-world data on multichannel connectivity and videotransmission carried on commercial 3G/4G networks in the region of Skåne, southern Sweden. The data reported here complement the research article “Technical feasibility and ambulance nurses’ view of a digital telemedicine system in pre-hospital stroke care – A pilot study” (1). The dataset was originally collected as part of a project aimed to test in a clinical setting the quality and usefulness of a linked image and sound transmission in the prehospital assessment of patients with suspected stroke. The project built on previous studies indicating that using high-quality telemedicine in stroke cases is feasible and has already impacted local stroke care Schwamm et al., 2009. In addition, studies support the hypothesis that stroke telemedicine consultations, compared with telephone-only, result in more accurate decision-making Demaerschalk et al., 2012. Cellular networks for 3/4G networks have been greatly improved, a prerequisite for the use of these networks for e. g. medical applications. However, connectivity maps for planning purposes are usually based on theoretical values that do not consider smaller features of the terrain such as large trees, hills, rocks etc. and that may interfere with connectivity. To leverage several networks, multichannel devices have been developed that split the original transmission onto several independent channels and recombine the transmission on the receiver side. This setup allows to increase the available bandwidth and introduces at the same time an element of redundancy, provided that several providers with independent networks are used.

  • Data summarizing monitoring and evaluation for three European environmental policies in 9 cases across Europe
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 23
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The data presented in this DiB article provide an overview of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) carried out for 3 European environmental policies (the Water Framework Directive, the Natura 2000 network of protected areas, and Agri-Environment Schemes implemented under the Common Agricultural Policy), as implemented in 9 cases (Catalonia (Spain), Estonia, Finland, Flanders (Belgium), Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Scotland (UK), Sweden). These data are derived from reports and documents about monitoring programs that were publicly-available online in 2017. The literature on M&E to support adaptive management structured the issues that have been extracted and summarized. The data is related to the research article entitled "Policy-driven monitoring and evaluation: does it support adaptive management of socio-ecological systems?" [Stem et al., 2005]. The information provides a first overview of monitoring and evaluation that has been implemented in response to key European environmental policies. It provides a structured overview that permits a comparison of cases and policies and can assist other scholars and practitioners working on monitoring and evaluation. (C) 2019 The Author(s). • Automatization and stress analysis data of CoCr laser weld fatigue tests
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier. - 2352-3409. ; 26
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This work includes raw and analyzed test data when using a recently developed fatigue test method for miniature laser welds in cobalt-chromium (CoCr) alloy joints [1]: 10.1016/j.jmbbm.2019.07.004. The automization of fatigue tests is crucial for saving costs and personnel resources and that is the reason why the atomization threshold and the resulting spectrum data related to CoCr welds are provided here. The finite element method based stress computation output is provided related to shearing-mode tests to support the dataset as a whole. In addition, the compositional data of the parent material and the laser weld are given.

  • Data set on sedimentology, palaeoecology and chronology of Middle to Late Pleistocene deposits on the Taimyr Peninsula, Arctic Russia
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier. - 2352-3409. ; 25, s. 1-35
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This Data in Brief paper contains data (including images) from Quaternary sedimentary successions investigated along the Bol'shaya Balakhnya River and the Luktakh-Upper Taimyra-Logata river system on southern Taimyr Peninsula, NW Siberia (Russia). Marine foraminifera and mollusc fauna composition, extracted from sediment samples, is presented. The chronology (time of deposition) of the sediment successions is reconstructed from three dating methods; (i) radiocarbon dating of organic detritus (from lacustrine/fluvial sediment) and molluscs (marine sediment) as finite ages (usually <42 000 years) or as non-finite ages (>42 000-48 000 years) on samples/sediments beyond the radiocarbon dating limit; (ii) Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) dating on marine molluscs (up to ages >400 000 years); (iii) Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dating, usually effective up to 100-150 0000 years. Terrestrial Cosmogenic Nuclide (TCN) exposure dating has been applied to boulders resting on top of moraine ridges (Ice Marginal Zones). See (Moller et al., 2019) (doi.org/10.1016/j.earscirev.2019.04.004) for interpretation and discussion of all data. (c) 2019 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Inc. • Zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryo-larvae locomotor activity data analysis: Evaluating anxiolytic effects of the antidepressant compound citalopram
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 27
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Newly fertilized zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos were exposed to increasing concentrations of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) citalopram from fertilization until six days post-fertilization (dpf). Locomotor activity data were acquired at six dpf using an automated ZebraBox (R) infrared tracking system. Individual (n = 32) locomotor activity was recorded during 75 minutes in total during alternating illumination conditions (0% light, i.e. dark periods, and 100% light, i.e. light periods). The first 15 minutes of the test consisted of a dark period, i.e an acclimatization phase. Afterward, six alternating light and dark periods were conducted. Individual zebrafish embryo-larvae locomotion was tracked and aggregated in ten-second bins. The dataset, containing nine locomotor-related quantified endpoints (factors), was parsed, analyzed, and visualized using R software. The dataset and its associated custom R script may be used to further explore locomotor activity outcomes (e.g. anxiolytic or anxiogenic properties) following exposure to citalopram or other neuroactive chemicals. • 2019
  • Ingår i: Data in Brief. - : Elsevier BV. - 2352-3409. ; 25
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This data article contains lab-based micro-computed tomography (μCT) data of unidirectional (UD) non-crimp fabric (NCF) carbon fibre reinforced composite specimens that have been deformed by compression. The specimens contain UD fibres with off-axis angles of 0°, 5°, 10°, 15° and 20° and the compression testing induces kink-band formation. This data formed the basis for the analysis of the influence of in-plane shear on kink-plane orientation as reported in Wilhelmsson et al. (Wilhelmsson et al., 2019).
