  • How to build a CRIS-system relevant for your institution
  • 2018
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • This paper presents our experiences of in-house development of a CRIS at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Which course for the future is relevant when building a new repository platform in 2018, how does is it relate to the choices made 15 years ago when many of the current repository platforms were launched? This paper will present features that we have in place, as well as the experiences from moving out of the comfort zone and dealing with new, non-publication related data, while sustaining and enhancing existing data and current services. In the development of research.chalmers.se we have had to leave several desired features in a backlog list, whilst focusing on simply doing the most relevant features. For the main features we have implemented them as elegant as possible. For instance, we will demonstrate automatic classification, data-driven workflows between various system - all made with the motto: "Let the researchers do research, instead of administrative tasks".

  • Författaridentifikatorer och publiceringsdatabaser – scenarier och utvecklingsmöjligheter
  • 2013

  • Research.chalmers.se : building the next generation research information infrastructure at Chalmers University of Technology
  • 2016
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • research.chalmers.se is the new research infrastructure - repository platform and CRIS - that is currently being developed by the library at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. With the aim of eventually becoming the place for all relevant research information at the university, and built in accordance with the principles of UX (User eXperience) and agile development (SCRUM) and with a steady focus on value and continuous deliveries, research.chalmers.se is set to replace most of the current research information infrastructure at the university. It will provide new services for collecting, curating and providing quality data, as well as tools for analysis, sharing and promotion of research output by new and up-to-date means.research.chalmers.se is (or will be)- creating and preserving values - research output and data repository with qualitativedata, researcher profiles, open access.- promoting open access publishing, by proving the value of knowledge sharing, visibilityand impact as a researcher.- collecting and curating all kinds of research information, including publications, research data and information about research projects and other research activities.- built with responsive design that is adapted to current user needs. - using current standards for validity and sustainability, such as ORCID, DOI andFundRef IDs.- providing new ways of exploring and analyzing data, such as altmetrics, open APIs andvisualization tools. In the first phase (starting in 2014) a complete system for handling research project and grant information has been developed, together with integration of the local HR system for persistent and structured data about staff and organisation. In the current phase (2016-) repository services are being developed, such as a new publication database and a new digital repository, along with services for sharing and collecting data. The next phase(s) will include handling of research data, research activities, learning objects and tools for bibliometric analysis. This poster will show some of the current and future features and the principles of UX and agile development, as well as the experiences of moving out of the comfort zone and dealing with new, non-publication related data, while sustaining and enhancing existing data and current services. It will discuss the challenges and possible solutions, when handling different kinds of research information for use and re-use, in the long run enabling the comprehension of the big picture of research at Chalmers University of Technology.

  • To Follow-Up Open Access Policies. What to Measure, How to Do It and Who to Tell
  • 2011
  • Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
    • The implementation of open access has gained momentum in Sweden with policiesbeing adopted by universities and funding bodies. Representing two organizationswith policy decisions from 2010, we now face the question how we should evaluatethe impact of the policies. It is clearly important for us to be able to measure and toevaluate the progress at the early stages in this process. We also believe that differentstakeholders – university management, research group leaders and the individualresearchers – will benefit from different kinds of feedback and that we should beable to provide adjusted indicators for these groups.

  • Digitala lärresurser i lärosätenas öppna arkiv. Slutrapport från OERIIR-projektet
  • 2009

  • Individual goal-based plan based on nursing theory for adults with type 2 diabetes and self-care deficits : a study protocol of a randomised controlled trial
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: BMJ Open. - : BMJ Publishing Group Ltd. - 2044-6055. ; 12:3
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Introduction The prevalence and costs of type 2 diabetes are increasing worldwide. A cornerstone in the treatment and care of diabetes is supporting each patient in self-management. In Sweden, most patients with type 2 diabetes are cared for in the primary care setting, which is heavily burdened. Because of implementation difficulties regarding evidenced-based diabetes self-management education and support in this setting, there is a need for an instrument that is easy to use and implement. We developed an individual care plan based on the self-care deficit nursing theory of Dorothea Orem as an instrument to facilitate more individualised self-care support for patients with type 2 diabetes. In this study, we aim to determine whether a written, theory-based, individual goal-based plan for patients with type 2 diabetes and self-management deficits can affect their glycaemic control and health-related quality of life, as well as their experiences of living with diabetes and of support from diabetes care. Methods and analysis The study design is a randomised controlled trial using a quantitative approach. A total of 110 patients will be included. Additionally, a qualitative interview study will be conducted 12 months after the intervention. The primary outcome will be glycosylated haemoglobin levels. Secondary outcomes will be health-related quality of life measured using the RAND-36, and the patient's experience of living with diabetes and of the support from diabetes care measured using the Diabetes Questionnaire. Quantitative data will be analysed using the paired t-test, unpaired t-test, and Mann-Whitney U test with IBM SPSS V.26.0 software. Qualitative content analysis will be used for qualitative data. Ethics and dissemination This study has been approved by the Ethical Review Authority in Uppsala, Sweden (Etikprovningsmyndigheten, Uppsala, Sverige) (Dnr: 2020-03421). The results will be disseminated in peer-reviewed publications.
