  • Transfusion et coagulation chez le polytraumatisé
  • 2012
  • Ingår i: Oxymag. - : Elsevier Masson SAS. - 0990-1310. ; 25:127, s. 11-12
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Blood transfusions were dangerous and prohibited, until medicine developed modern techniques in the middle of the last century. Multi-trauma patients often present hard-to-identify multifactorial coagulopathies which should be recognized and treated before a transfusion is envisaged.

  • An exact ab initio theory of quantum transport using TDDFT and nonequilibrium Green's functions
  • 2006
  • Ingår i: Journal of Physics: Conference Series. - : IOP Publishing. - 1742-6596 .- 1742-6588. ; 35, s. 17-24
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We present an exact ab initio theory for describing the motion of interacting electrons through nanoscopic constrictions. Our theory is based on time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) and nonequilibrium Green functions. We consider the system electrode-device-electrode initially contacted and in equilibrium, therefore the scheme is thermodynamically consistent. Besides the steady-state responses one can also calculate physical dynamical responses. We show that the steady-state current results from a dephasing mechanism provided the electrodes are macroscopic and the device is finite. In the d.c. case, we obtain a Landauer-like formula when the effective potential of TDDFT is uniform deep inside the electrodes

  • Time-dependent partition-free approach in resonant tunneling systems
  • 2004
  • Ingår i: Physical Review B (Condensed Matter and Materials Physics). - : American Physical Society. - 1098-0121. ; 69:19
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • An extended Keldysh formalism, well suited to properly take into account the initial correlations, is used in order to deal with the time-dependent current response of a resonant tunneling system. We use a partition-free approach by Cini in which the whole system is in equilibrium before an external bias is switched on. No fictitious partitions are used. Despite a more involved formulation, this partition-free approach has many appealing features being much closer to what is experimentally done. In particular, besides the steady-state responses one can also calculate physical dynamical responses. In the noninteracting case we clarify under what circumstances a steady-state current develops and compare our result with the one obtained in the partitioned scheme. We prove a theorem of asymptotic equivalence between the two schemes for arbitrary time-dependent disturbances. We also show that the steady-state current is independent of the history of the external perturbation (memory-loss theorem). In the so-called wide-band limit an analytic result for the time-dependent current is obtained. In the interacting case we work out the lesser Green function in terms of the self-energy and we recover a well-known result in the long-time limit. In order to overcome the complications arising from a self-energy which is nonlocal in time we propose an exact nonequilibrium Green-function approach based on time-dependent density-functional theory. The equations are no more difficult than an ordinary mean-field treatment. We show how the scattering-state scheme by Lang follows from our formulation. An exact formula for the steady-state current of an arbitrary interacting resonant tunneling system is obtained. As an example the time-dependent current response is calculated in the random-phase approximation.

  • Synthesis of 11C-labelled Sulfonyl Carbamates via a Multicomponent Reaction Employing Sulfonyl Azides, Alcohols and [11C]CO
  • 2016
  • Ingår i: ChemistryOpen. - 2191-1363. ; 58:3, s. 566-573
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Herein we describe the development of new methodologyfocusing on 11C-labelling of sulfonyl carbamates in a multicomponentreaction comprising a sulfonyl azide, an alkyl alcohol and [11C]CO. Anumber of 11C-labelled sulfonyl carbamates were synthesised andisolated, and the developed methodology was then applied in thepreparation of a biologically active molecule. The target compoundwas obtained in 18±8% isolated radiochemical yield and wasevaluated for binding properties in a tumor cell assay, as well asundergoing in vivo biodistribution and imaging studies. Thisrepresents the first successful radiolabelling of C21, a non-peptideangiotensin II receptor subtype 2 agonist currently in clinical trials.

  • Märkbar tilltro till missbrukarvårdens potential
  • 2007
  • Ingår i: Medicinsk access. - 1652-9782. ; :7, s. 68-71

  • Stakeholders’ arguments for and against moving Swedish substance abuse treatment to the health care system : How a fat reform proposal became a thin government bill
  • 2014
  • Ingår i: Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs. - 1458-6126. ; 31:1, s. 81-110
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • BACKGROUND - Far-reaching changes in the Swedish substance abuse treatment system (SAT) were proposed by a state-commissioned inquiry in 2011. The proposal implied a break with the social tradition of SAT. It was suggested that the treatment responsibility should be transferred from the municipal social services to the regional-level health care system; and that compulsory treatment in its present form (assessed by/paid for by social services, run by the state) should be abolished and become incorporated into coercive psychiatric care provided by health care. A lively debate arose, and the vast majority of stakeholders sought to articulate their arguments. AIM - The study analysed the development of Swedish SAT by examining the policy process from reform proposal to government bill in 2013. METHOD - Content analysis was used to analyse written comments on the proposal submitted to the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs by close to 200 stakeholders. The goal was to empirically chart and examine the arguments for and against as well as advocates and opponents of the reform. With the government bill at hand, we retrospectively sorted out the winning arguments in the now highly contested SAT field and which actors were able to influence the process. CONCLUSIONS - The article discloses that the mixed response and rather critical voices in most groups, including social/medical professions and government bureaucracy, helped block the responsibility shifts, and that reformations of subsystems like SAT are difficult to carry out as freestanding projects within larger systems of social and health care.
