Towards a complete twistorization of the heterotic string
- 1994
-
Ingår i: Mod.Phys.Lett.A9 (1994) 2987.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- In D=3,4,6 and 10 space-time dimensions considered is a string model invariant under transformations of N=1 space-time supersymmetry and n=D-2 local worldsheet supersymmetry with the both Virasoro constraints solved in the twistor form. The twistor solution survives in a modified form even in the presence of the heterotic fermions.

N=8 superconformal algebra and the superstring
- 1993
-
Ingår i: Phys.Lett.B311 (1993) 76.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- The superstring in D=3,4 and 6 is invariant under an N=D-2 superconformal algebra based on S^{D-3}. There is a direct relationship between this (world-sheet) symmetry and the super-Poincaré (target space) symmetry. We establish this relationship using the light-cone gauge, show how the statement generalizes to D=10 and examine the properties of the N=8 superconformal algebra and the possible implications of its existence.

A note on the relation between different forms of superparticle dynamics
- 1993
-
Ingår i: Mod.Phys.Lett. A9 (1994) 967.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- A formulation of D=10 superparticle dynamics is given that contain space-time and twistor variables. The set of constraints is entirely first class, and gauge conditions may be imposed that reduces the system to a Casalbuoni-Brink-Schwarz superparticle, a spinning particle or a twistor particle.

Bidivision algebra spinors in D=10 Minkowski geometry
- 1991
-
Tidskriftsartikel (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
- Some geometrical properties of spinors in ten-dimensional Minkowski spaceare analysed, and are demonstrated to generalise the concept ofpure spinors to bi-division algebra spinors. In a unified treatment, they are shown to transform under orthogonal extensions ofthe algebra of space rotations and to be subjected to certainpurity constraints.

E7 as D=10 space-time symmetry: Origin of the twistor transform
- 1992
-
Ingår i: Phys.Lett.B302 (1993) 189.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- Massless particle dynamics in D=10 Minkowski space is given an E7-covariant formulation, including both space-time and twistor variables. E7 contains the conformal algebra as a subalgebra. Analogous constructions apply to D=3,4 and 6.

Higher-dimensional loop algebras, non-abelian extensions and p-branes
- 1994
-
Ingår i: Nucl.Phys.B424 (1994) 97.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- We postulate a new type of operator algebra with a non-abelian extension. This algebra generalizes the Kac-Moody algebra in string theory and the Mickelsson-Faddeev algebra in three dimensions to higher-dimensional extended objects (p-branes). We then construct new BRST operators, covariant derivatives and curvature tensors in the higher-dimensional generalization of loop space.

Introduction to division algebras, sphere algebras and twistors
- 1993
-
Ingår i: http://arXiv.org/abs/hep-th/9310115.
-
Konferensbidrag (övrigt vetenskapligt/konstnärligt)abstract
- A very basic introduction is given to the roles of division algebras and the related sphere algebras concerning the structure of space-time in the dimensionalities D=3,4,6 and 10, with special emphasis on twistors transformations for light-likeness conditions and Hopf maps, together with some outlook for particle and string theory.

Octonionic particles and the S7 symmetry
- 1992
-
Ingår i: J.Math.Phys.33 (1992) 388.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- A manifestly Lorentz covariant quantization scheme for (super) particles in ten dimensions is given, using octonionic twistor variables, also applying to D=3, 4, and 6. The field-dependent gauge algebra for the twistor variables is (a superextension of) the seven-sphere. A BRS treatment of this symmetry is performed. Comments are made on conformal invariance and the topology of twistor space.

Quaternionic superconformal field theory
- 1992
-
Ingår i: Nucl.Phys.B403 (1993) 238.
-
Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
- We develop a superfield formalism for N=4 superconformal two-dimensional field theory. A list is presented of minimal free superfields, i.e. of multiplets containing four bosons and four fermions. We show that the super-Poincaré algebra of the six-dimensional superstring in the light-cone gauge is essentially equivalent to a local N=4 superconformal symmetry, and outline the construction of octonionic superconformal field theory.
