- The purpose with the project, against this background, is• To compare how contemporary European and global discourses on educational policy are incorporated, changed, adapted, and acquire a governing influence on the discussions about, and the organisation of, teacher education in the four Nordic countries.• To analyse and compare how visions of the nation, teacher education, and the nation's teacher subjects are constructed in the meeting between national, European, and global educational policy currents.• To analyse and compare how visions of globalisation and European identities are constructed in the meeting of supranational educational policy with the educational policy of each individual country.
