Abstract

- In a previous article, the use of portable near infrared (NIR) spectrometry for archaeological purposes was explained and illustrated. It was also mentioned that there is a difference in speed between point-wise spectroscopy and imaging, whereby imaging can give a similar wavelength range as the spectroscopy but also has a very large number of spatially-referenced pixels collected very quickly. In the present Part II article, this imaging aspect will be further explored.
