- Experimental methods of determining thermal conductivities under pressure are reviewed. A selection is made on the basis of viability and productivity. Methods applied at atmospheric pressure but potentially useful under high pressure are also mentioned. A condensed review of thermal conductivity results is given. Some methods for thermal conductivity also yield thermal diffusivity and heat capacity data. Specific methods of determining heat capacity are discussed, in particular those developed during the last five years. Results in this area mostly concern anomalies in heat capacity. Finally, various ways of determining thermal expansivities are discussed, especially indirect thermodynamic methods.
