  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • The linguistic polyphony is an inherent aspect of the nominal terms of address, which contain the instruction of identifying the addressee. However, in order to understand their argumentative function, it is necessary to include the discursive level. In this sense, the linguistic polyphony combines with the dialogism in the analysis of the function of the attested terms of address in the context of the European parliament.

  • Quantifieurs de proximité factuelle: Un instant après le train déraillait / aurait déraillé : [Quantifiers of factual proximity and praxematics: A moment later the train would have derailed]
  • 2023
  • In: Cahiers de praxématique. - : OpenEdition. - 0765-4944 .- 2111-5044. ; :79
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • In this article, we will briefly discuss Quantifiers of Factual Proximity (QFPs). Praxematics, with the multiple avenues of linguistic knowledge that it offers us, including that of the Cahiers de praxematique, inspired us to define and study these quantifiers. The QPFs (un pas de plus ‘one more step’, un instant après ‘a moment later’) are part of conditional constructions (Un pas de plus et il me tuait / m’aurait tué. ‘One more step and he would have killed me’ ; Un instant après et le train déraillait / aurait déraillé. ‘A moment later the train would have derailed’), both in counterfactual constructions and in potential constructions (Un pas de plus et je te tue. ‘One more step and I’ll kill you’). The most salient property of these quantifiers is that the apodosis of these constructions is axiologically marked (‘kill’, ‘derail’).
