  • Kartläggning av invandrarföretagande i Norrköping och Linköping
  • 2008
  • Reports (other academic/artistic)abstract

  • BER Estimation from EVM for QPSK and 16-QAM Coherent Optical Systems
  • 2016
  • In: IEEE 6th International Conference on Photonics (ICP), Kuching, Malaysia, Mar 14-17, 2016. - 2330-5665. - 9781467381536
  • Conference paper (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • BER estimation from measured EVM values is shown experimentally for QPSK and 16QAM optical signals with 28 GBd. Various impairments, such as gain imbalance, quadrature error and timing skew, are introduced into the transmitted signal in order to evaluate the robustness of the method. The EVM was measured using two different real-time sampling systems and the EVM measurement accuracy is discussed.

  • The Fourteenth Data Release of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey : First Spectroscopic Data from the Extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey and from the Second Phase of the Apache Point Observatory Galactic Evolution Experiment
  • 2018
  • In: Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series. - : IOP Publishing Ltd. - 0067-0049 .- 1538-4365. ; 235:2
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • The fourth generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-IV) has been in operation since 2014 July. This paper describes the second data release from this phase, and the 14th from SDSS overall (making this Data Release Fourteen or DR14). This release makes the data taken by SDSS-IV in its first two years of operation (2014-2016 July) public. Like all previous SDSS releases, DR14 is cumulative, including the most recent reductions and calibrations of all data taken by SDSS since the first phase began operations in 2000. New in DR14 is the first public release of data from the extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey; the first data from the second phase of the Apache Point Observatory (APO) Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE-2), including stellar parameter estimates from an innovative data-driven machine-learning algorithm known as "The Cannon"; and almost twice as many data cubes from the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at APO (MaNGA) survey as were in the previous release (N = 2812 in total). This paper describes the location and format of the publicly available data from the SDSS-IV surveys. We provide references to the important technical papers describing how these data have been taken (both targeting and observation details) and processed for scientific use. The SDSS web site (www.sdss.org) has been updated for this release and provides links to data downloads, as well as tutorials and examples of data use. SDSS-IV is planning to continue to collect astronomical data until 2020 and will be followed by SDSS-V.

  • Effects of spinal cord stimulation in angina pectoris induced by pacing and possible mechanisms of action.
  • 1993
  • In: BMJ (Clinical research ed.). - 0959-8138. ; 307:6902, s. 477-80
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • To investigate the effects of spinal cord stimulation on myocardial ischaemia, coronary blood flow, and myocardial oxygen consumption in angina pectoris induced by atrial pacing. The heart was paced to angina during a control phase and treatment with spinal cord stimulation. Blood samples were drawn from a peripheral artery and the coronary sinus.Multidisciplinary pain centre, department of medicine, Ostra Hospital, and Wallenberg Research Laboratory, Sahlgrenska Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden.Twenty patients with intractable angina pectoris, all with a spinal cord stimulator implanted before the study.Spinal cord stimulation increased patients' tolerance to pacing (p < 0.001). At the pacing rate comparable to that producing angina during the control recording, myocardial lactate production during control session turned into extraction (p = 0.003) and, on the electrocardiogram, ST segment depression decreased, time to ST depression increased, and time to recovery from ST depression decreased (p = 0.01; p < 0.05, and p < 0.05, respectively). Spinal cord stimulation also reduced coronary sinus blood flow (p = 0.01) and myocardial oxygen consumption (p = 0.02). At the maximum pacing rate during treatment, all patients experienced anginal pain. Myocardial lactate extraction reverted to production (p < 0.01) and the magnitude and duration of ST segment depression increased to the same values as during control pacing, indicating that myocardial ischaemia during treatment with spinal cord stimulation gives rise to anginal pain.Spinal cord stimulation has an anti-anginal and anti-ischaemic effect in severe coronary artery disease. These effects seem to be secondary to a decrease in myocardial oxygen consumption. Furthermore, myocardial ischemia during treatment gives rise to anginal pain. Thus, spinal cord stimulation does not deprive the patient of a warning signal.

  • Sockentänk : En studie av två deltagardemokratiska experiment i Ydre kommun
  • 2013
  • Licentiate thesis (other academic/artistic)abstract

  • Object-Oriented Modeling and Optimal Control: A Case Study in Power Plant Start-Up
  • 2011
  • Conference paper (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • Modeling and optimization of complex systems traditionally have required significant programming efforts in order to encode the model dynamics, the cost functions and the constraints in a format suitable for state of the art numerical algorithms. The availability of dedicated languages for physical modeling has made the design process simpler, but often tools have been limited to a particular optimization algorithm. In this paper, we present a case study where a combined cycle power plant model has been developed using first principles in the modeling language Modelica. Based on the model, an optimal control problem for the start-up of the power plant has been formulated in the Optimica extension and solved using the open source software JModelica.org. The results demonstrate how high-level modeling languages and tools can be used to bridge the gap between the engineering need for intuitive description formats and the interfaces of efficient numerical algorithms.

  • Memory is Frail (and Truth Brittle) – performance lecture
  • 2024
  • In: Jakarta, MACAN Museum, 13 Jan 2024.
  • Artistic work (other academic/artistic)abstract
    • This performance lecture is based on an eponymous installation of 115 charcoal and graphite drawings the artist made in 2019, which was based on a text published in 2018. It questions the nature of reality and the building block of human knowledge, which is perceived mainly through humankind’s limited senses, the main part of which is the eye. At an allegorical level, it interrogates how our understanding of the world is largely constructed visually and recorded through memory, and how these are also prone to manipulation, for example in state propaganda and isolated versions of state-sanctioned history. --- Art does not merely articulate an artist’s personal expression but is often inseparable from a larger historical, political, and geographical context. To kick off the 2024 Museum MACAN public programs, artist/researcher Tintin Wulia presents a performance lecture and discussion session, Memory is Frail (and Truth Brittle). Exhibited as 115 illustrations drawn with charcoal and graphite, Memory is Frail (and Truth Brittle) presents a connection between major world events scattered across different times and places, and how these events are recollected by humans. As the subject navigates through ideas surrounding reality, frailty of memory, and human geography and history, Wulia interrogates what we believe to be reality is constructed largely from our sensory perception, state-sanctioned histories, and fragile memories of humans.
