- By elucidating the isogonic structures of affectivity and landscaping in Gerald Murnane's novel 'Inland,' the study demonstrates the reductive nature of analytic models based on world-positioning. Since the constitution of a literary work does not involve the object-like units and displacements that are viewable in the realm of constituted worlds, literary theories based on the event of investigating worlds cannot clarify a literary text's self-actualization. Extrinsic procedures do not touch the core of the literary work of art. Nor do they touch the nuances of its surface texture that make it specific.

- The study breaks new ground in Powys scholarship by introducing the idea that the writer is not concerned with sensual phenomena per se but with mutations of them transfigured by reflectance. It is demonstrated that at a key moment in the writer's development, his most important protagonist surreptitiously encounters the manifestation of the idea, possibility, or reality of grace. The study introduces the concept of non-frontality (as an alternative to, and refutation of, 'displacement') to account for modes of manifestation that fully retain the sense of presence while dealing only with a fraction or 'tithe' of each unit of lived experience.
