  • Creative Work and Social Innovation : The Case of Innovating in an Open-Air Museum
  • 2024
  • In: Creative Work : Conditions, Contexts and Practices - Conditions, Contexts and Practices. - 9781003855538 - 9781032509792 ; , s. 46-61
  • Book chapter (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • The public management of urban space is an everyday practice that requires development. But how is creative work done in a public context? The idea of offering outdoor offices and outdoor conferences is being implemented in an open-air museum, owned by a middle-sized city in Sweden. This chapter focuses on their ambitions to be innovative, and the practices officials engage in, to innovate. The ethnographic material comprises interviews texts and observations. The study draws on theory on social innovation practice and on sociologist Hartmut Rosa’s concept resonance, forming an analysis of a municipality’s innovation practices as responses to change. The study finds that innovation work is presented as a more efficient use of existing resources, while it promises improved work health for the public. One conclusion is that innovation work requires communicating a culture of courage. The explored case shows the different ways in which outdoor offices and conferences are expected to create efficiency and health experiences as new potential values, proposed for citizens and visitors in the innovation practices. Doing social innovation, based on the case of outdoor offices and conferences and the concept of resonance, constitutes a response to new societal norms, such as the free choice of office workplace and place independence.

  • Fiskbestånd och miljö i hav och sötvatten : Resurs- och miljööversikt 2012
  • 2012
  • Reports (other academic/artistic)abstract

  • 2010
  • In: Fysioterapi. - 1653-5804. ; :2, s. 36-40
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
Vilka insatser bör man i första hand välja?

  • Risk factors for recurrent disease in small papillary thyroid cancers : a Swedish register-based study
  • 2023
  • In: Langenbeck's archives of surgery (Print). - : Springer. - 1435-2443 .- 1435-2451. ; 408:1
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • AIMS: To study the correlation between clinicopathological risk factors and the risk for intervention-requiring cancer recurrence in patients with small papillary thyroid cancers (sPTCs). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Records for 397 patients with sPTC (T1 ≤ 20mm) were obtained from the Scandinavian Quality Register for Thyroid, Parathyroid and Adrenal Surgery (SQRTPA) between 2010 and 2016. Follow-up time was at least 5 years. Data regarding intervention-requiring cancer recurrence were obtained from patient medical records and analysed regarding lymph node (LN) status (N0, N1a and N1b) and recurrence. RESULTS: Age was significantly lower in the N1a and N1b groups compared to N0 (45 vs. 40.5 vs. 49 years, respectively; p = 0.002). Tumour size was smaller in the N1a group compared to N1b group (9 vs. 11.8 mm; p <0.01). The mean number of metastatic LNs at initial surgery was higher in the N1b compared to N1a group (6.6 vs. 3; p = 0.001), and in the recurrent compared to the non-recurrent group (7 versus 3.9; p <0.01). The recurrence rate was higher in the N1b group than the N1a and N0 groups (25% vs. 2.4% vs. 1.4%, respectively; p = 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Lymph node stage N1b at diagnosis, and having five or more metastatic nodes, are strong risk factors for cancer recurrence and decreased disease-free survival in sPTC. The management of patients with sPTC should include thorough lymph node mapping for optimal treatment and individual risk stratification.

  • Hexakis(dimethyl sulfoxide-kappa O)aluminium(III) trichloride
  • 2003
  • In: Acta Crystallographica Section E. - 1600-5368. ; 59, s. M934-M935
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • The title compound, [Al{(CH3)(2)SO}(6)]Cl-3, crystallizes in the trigonal space group R(3) over bar. In this structure, the O atoms of six dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) molecules are bonded to the Al3+ ion in the form of a trigonally distorted octahedron. The Al3+ ion is situated at special site 3b (symmetry (3) over bar), while the Cl- ions are situated at special sites 3a and 6c (symmetries (3) over bar and 3). Considering only the Al3+ ions separately, they are arranged in a slightly distorted cubic close-packed arrangement. In this crystal structure, the Cl- ions occupy both the tetrahedral sites and the octahedral sites, giving a Cl-:Al3+ ratio of 3:1. This geometric condition results in a distorted rhombododecahedral arrangement of Cl- ions around the Al3+ ions.

  • COVID-19 in Pregnancy and Early Childhood (COPE): study protocol for a prospective, multicentre biobank, survey and database cohort study.
  • 2021
  • In: BMJ open. - : BMJ. - 2044-6055. ; 11:9
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • There is limited knowledge on how the SARS-CoV-2 affects pregnancy outcomes. Studies investigating the impact of COVID-19 in early pregnancy are scarce and information on long-term follow-up is lacking. The purpose of this project is to study the impact of COVID-19 on pregnancy outcomes and long-term maternal and child health by: (1) establishing a database and biobank from pregnant women with COVID-19 and presumably non-infected women and their infants and (2) examining how women and their partners experience pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood in the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a national, multicentre, prospective cohort study involving 27 Swedish maternity units accounting for over 86000 deliveries/year. Pregnant women are included when they: (1) test positive for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 group) or (2) are non-infected and seek healthcare at one of their routine antenatal visits (screening group). Blood, as well as other biological samples, are collected at different time points during and after pregnancy. Child health up to 4years of age and parent experience of pregnancy, delivery, early parenthood, healthcare and society in general will be examined using web-based questionnaires based on validated instruments. Short- and long-term health outcomes will be collected from Swedish health registers and the parents' experiences will be studied by performing qualitative interviews.Confidentiality aspects such as data encryption and storage comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and with ethical committee requirements. This study has been granted national ethical approval by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (dnr 2020-02189 and amendments 2020-02848, 2020-05016, 2020-06696 and 2021-00870) and national biobank approval by the Biobank Väst (dnr B2000526:970). Results from the project will be published in peer-reviewed journals.NCT04433364.
