- The Paris Agreement requests a substantial reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These emissions are currently mainly estimated from bottom-up inventories and process-based models of land and ocean fluxes. Another, complementary approach is based on measurements of the atmospheric GHG concentration in combination with atmospheric inverse modelling to provide the GHG fluxes. For the latter approach the GIScience community should contribute with providing an appropriate country mask to enable estimations of national budgets. This paper aims at describing the requirement of such a country mask as well as report on technical solutions for preliminary tests we made on national GHG flux estimations.

- Current techniques for visualising geospatial Linked Data are limited in terms of multiple representation, which has been studied for decades by cartographers and considered as a prerequisite for deriving appropriate geovisualisation applications. In order to alleviate this issue, this paper presents a work in progress, in which the multiple representation geospatial data are released as Linked Data, and linked to the Linked Data gazetteer GeoNames. In the study, we use extended INSPIRE draft RDF vocabularies to explicitly link multiple representations and their visualisation scales. The results show that the released multiple representation geospatial Linked Data can effectively enrich the geometric information for the test data in GeoNames, and provide better visualisation performance.

- The sharing of digital information between phases in the planning and building process still have shortcomings. Ourstudy is performed as a test case on a construction project in a municipality and focuses on two aspects of how the sharing of building information could be improved: 1) to get a more process oriented approach to the information flow. Here we will test if the ISO-standard Product Lifecycle Support (PLCS) can be used to enhance the lifecycle information for 3D geodata building data. 2) to evaluate the quality of the data to ensure that it is suitable to its purpose. The quality aspects need to be considered and evaluated both during data collection and through the whole construction lifecycle.

- Det här kapitlet fokuserar på att förklara de grundläggande principerna för insamling av geografiska data, och vi lägger tonvikten på fjärranalys och geodetiska metoder. Fjärranalys innefattar olika tekniker som fotogrammetri, laserskanning och analys av bilder från mark, flyg och satelliter. Geodetiska datainsamling används för att mäta in koordinater för objekt på marken och innefattar satellitbaserade tekniker såväl som användning av fältinstrument. Olika tekniker, avseende både fjärranalys och geodesi, används i olika situationer beroende på krav på noggrannhet och innehåll, och kompletterar därför varandra. Vi börjar med att beskriva satellitfjärranalys som kan täcka stora områden med relativt begränsad detaljeringsgrad, beskriver sedan flygbilder och laserskanning där detaljnivån ökar, för att till sist beskriva de geodetiska metoderna för noggranna mätningar på marknivå.

- Summary: Geografisk informationsbehandling baseras på insamling, lagring, analys och visualisering av geografiska data. Denna indelning utgör också grunden för bokens disposition. Boken är i första hand avsedd för introducerande kurser vid universitet och högskolor men vissa delar är lämpliga även på avancerad nivå. Den är också utmärkt för yrkesverksamma inom GIS som vill öka sina teoretiska kunskaper. Boken innehåller både teoretiska och praktiska delar, där de senare beskriver tillämpningar som exempelvis samhällsplanering, miljöövervakning och kommersiella tjänster. I insamlingsdelen beskrivs hur man anger en position genom att koppla ett koordinatsystem till jordytan. Därefter beskrivs de vanligaste metoderna att samla in geografiska data som satellitbaserade positioneringssystem, flygfotografering, satellitbaserad fjärranalys och laserskanning. Lagringsdelen behandlar hur dessa data lagras i databaser och distribueras via webben. Analysdelen innehåller beskrivningar av de vanligaste analysmetoderna samt kvalitetsfrågor. Resultatet av en geografisk analys visualiseras oftast i form av kartor, vilket är temat för den sista delen av boken. Denna sjunde upplaga har uppdaterats med nya aktuella tillämpningsexempel. Dessa är i denna upplaga beskrivna tillsammans med de teoretiska beskrivningarna för att stärka kopplingen mellan teori och tillämpningar. Dessutom har beskrivningen av webbtillämpningar utökats och utgör nu ett eget kapitel, och även texten om webbvisualiseringar har stärkts i kartografikapitlet. - An unbroken digital data flow would save substantial resources in the built environment process. In this study, which is part of a larger Swedish project, data delivery specifications and methods to integrate BIM and geodata are developed and tested with the aim to facilitate such an unbroken data flow. The main focus areas of the study are: (1) specifications that enables building permission applications based on BIM data to automate the building permission process, (2) reuse of as-built BIM models to update geodata when a building is constructed and (3) a national Swedish CityGML ADE for buildings. The study shows that building permission applications can be partly automated even though the delivery specifications were in the early stages of development at the time of a performed test case. With fully implemented delivery specifications more regulations can be checked. Furthermore, the study demonstrates how a BIM model can be georeferenced with a standard deviation of the transformation of 3 cm compared to field measurements performed with a total station. The georeferenced BIM model can then be converted to a LOD2 geodata building model to update existing geodata. Finally, a proposal for a national Swedish CityGML ADE for buildings is presented.
