    • Error correction for analog-to-digital converters(ADCs) is considered. The frequency-dependent na-ture of ADC errors motivates the proposal of a novel scheme, incorporating look-up table correction andfast frequency estimation. The method is evaluated using experimental converter data, and the performance, measured in SFDR and SINAD, is found tobe superior to that of non frequency-dependent correction methods.

    • NOVELTY - The method involves providing multiple channel estimation in the field of space time coding in a radio communication system. Space time coding includes transmitter diversity, space(-time) multiplexing and other complex use of signal coding in time and space. USE - For wireless communication ADVANTAGE - Pilot signals are sent concurrently instead of consecutively in order to increase bandwidth efficiency during a multitude of channel transfer functions in OFDM and doing so, guaranteeing non-interfering channel estimates at low processing cost for both transmitter and receiver side.     • We consider a Rayleigh model[Foschini and Gans, Wirel. Pers. Commun. 6, 311 (1998)] for the Shannon capacity characterising wireless information transfer in a network of antennae. In this model, the capacity C is a linear statistic of the channel matrix of the network. We use this fact to calculate the variance var[C] of the Shannon capacity. We find that the expected value 〈C〉 of the Shannon capacity is typical, that is the coefficient of variation √var[C]/〈C〉 is small.
