  • Regional research exploitation of the LHC: A case-study of the required computing resources
  • 2002
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 145:3, s. 341-350
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • A simulation study to evaluate the required computing resources for a research exploitation of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been performed. The evaluation, vas done as a case study. assuming existence of a Nordic regional centre and using the requirements for per-forming a specific physics analysis as a yard-stick. Other input parameters were: assumption for the distribution of researchers at the institutions involved, an analysis model, and two different functional structures of the computing resources.

  • PYTHIA version 7-0.0 - a proof-of-concept version
  • 2001
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 134:3, s. 365-391
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • This document describes the first proof-of-concept version of the PYTHIA7 program. PYTHIA7 is a complete re-write of the PYTHIA program in C++. It is mainly intended to be a replacement for the `Lund' family of event generators, but is also a framework with a structure suitable for implementing any event generator model. In this document, the structure of the program is presented both from the user and the developer point of view. It is not intended to be a complete manual, but together with the documentation provided in the distribution, it should be sufficient to start working with the program.

  • Mchf Calculations For Atomic Properties
  • 1994
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 84:1-3, s. 37-58
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • A historical review of the early development of Hartree-Fock and Multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock theories is presented. After the underlying theory is summarized, some recent results from the application of these methods to the prediction of atomic properties are described. These include total energies, transition probabilities, autoionization rates, specific mass shifts, and hyperfine parameters. In each case, large-scale, systematic procedures are used to show the convergence of the theoretically predicted results.

  • Colour: A computer program for QCD colour factor calculations
  • 1997
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 100:3, s. 311-321
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • A computer program for evaluating colour factors of QCD Feynman diagrams is presented, and illustrative examples on how to use the program to calculate nontrivial colour factors are given. The program and the discussion in this paper is based on a diagrammatic approach to colour factors.

  • The CCFM Monte Carlo generator CASCADE
  • 2002
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 143:1, s. 100-111
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • CASCADE is a full hadron level Monte Carlo event generator for ep, gammap and p (p) over bar processes, which uses the CCFM evolution equation for the initial state cascade in a backward evolution approach supplemented with off-shell matrix elements for die hard scattering. A detailed program description is given, with emphasis on parameters the user wants to change and common block variables which completely specify the generated events.

  • A Program For Computing Magnetic Dipole and Electric Quadrupole Hyperfine Constants From Mchf Wave-functions
  • 1993
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - : Elsevier BV. - 0010-4655. ; 74:3, s. 399-414
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • Given an electronic wave function, generated by the MCHF program (LS format) or the MCHF_CI program (LSJ format), this program computes the hyperfine interaction constants, A(J) and B(J). In strong experimental magnetic fields, the splitting is also affected by the off-diagonal hyperfine constants A(J,J-1), B(J,J-1), and B(J,J-2) and these are computed as well, depending on the input data.

  • 1999
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 123:1-3, s. 153-163

  • The condensation energy of the homogeneous superconducting gas.
  • 2003
  • In: Computer Physics Communications. - 0010-4655. ; 150:1, s. 53-63
  • Journal article (peer-reviewed)abstract
    • We present CHS, a computer program designed to calculate the condensation energy of the homogeneous superconducting electron gas. The correlation energy, which we treat at the level of the RPA, is an essential ingredient for the construction of a local density approximation in the framework of density functional theory for superconductors (SCDFT) [Kurth et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 83 (1999) 2628].
