- Blasmusik auf Adelsnäs in Südschweden (ca. 1830-1875): von freiherrlicher Privatkapelle zur Werkskapelle Die Kapelle des Fideikommisses Adelsnäs in Åtvidaberg, Östergötland, wird für älteste ”Werkkapelle” Schwedens gehalten. Ursprünglich war sie doch Baron Adelswärds eigene Privatkapelle, die auf seine Reisen mitgefolgt hat und bei seinen privaten Festen, Ausfahrten und eben königlichen Besuche gespielt hat. Vom Jahre 1834, als der Musikmeister C.G. Hönicke festangestellt wurde um die Kapelle anzuführen und zu unterweisen, kann man dessen Geschichte in den Rechenschaften eines neuerrichteten ”MusikConto” im Archiv des Kupferwerkes in Åtvidaberg folgen. Auch Erinnerungen und Zeitungsmeldungen, sowie einige Photos, sind aufbewahrt und als Quellen für mein Referat benutzt. Hönickes Nachfolger (1853-1873) wurde Wilhelm Böhme, bisheriger Klarinettist des Stockholmer Hofkapelles und Musikmeister in Hälsinge regemente. Im Privatarchiv des Fideikommisses Adelsnäs findet sich ein Bestand von Musikalien: Musik die Böhme von seiner Regiment nach ”Åtvid” mitgebracht hat und Musik für die Adelsnäser Bläser und Freiherren gedacht. Nicht nur der Musikmeister sondern auch 3 – 4 Berufsmusiker aus benachbarten Regimenten waren stets von dem Freiherr Adelswärd angestellt. Wie der Musikdirektor, erhielten sie Wohnung und Lohn für das ganze Jahr. Die meisten Orchestermusiker waren Beamtern und Arbeitern, die ihre ”Entschädigung für die Zeitverlust bei der Musik” erhielten. Am Mitte des Jahrhunderts hatte das Orchester ungefähr 28 Mitglieder. Nach dem Jahrhundertmitte scheint das Orchester immer mehr eine Funktion als “Werkkapelle”, mit öffentlichen Konzerten und Tanzmusik in einem neugebauten Musikpavillon, bekommen zu haben. Mit dem Adelsnäser Blasorchester kann man die Entwicklung von Privatkapelle fürstlicher Modell zu Werkkapelle, gemeinsamer Angelegenheit der korporativistischen Werkgemeinschaften, folgen.

- According to legend, Sigfridus was a British archbishop and one of the earliest missionaries to Sweden, active c. 1000 in southern Sweden. He came to be celebrated as a holy bishop and confessor. The oldest office (officium vetus) for St. Sigfrid, the 13th-century prose office Celebremus karissimi, seemingly the earliest complete office for a Swedish saint, is transcribed from codices and fragments from the 13th through 16th centuries. A commentary about the influences for this old office, its musical and poetic style. The chants would have contributed to the image of the saint by re-using model melodies and/or text passages from other saints’ offices (saints James and Gregory).
