• The 1984 INS-RIKEN International Symposium on Heavy Ion Physics, which consisted of two parts, was held at Gakushi-Kaikan in Tokyo and Hotel Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan from August 24th through 31st. The second part was organized to concentrate the discussions on the phenomena of heavy ion collisions in the energy range from several to a hundred MeV per nucleon, and also to look for new aspects of heavy ion nuclear physics in this energy region.
