On the structures of flavin derivatives : crystallographic studies and a review

• A summary is given of the crystal structures of one oxidized and two fully reduced flavin derivatives and of one zinc-riboflavin derivative. Structural results from single-crystal studies of thirty-four other flavin compounds and two flavoproteins are included in a review. General features of conformation, molecular dimensions and hydrogen bonding are pointed out. The metal coordination in the flavin-metal structures is also commented on.
