- The aim of current study was to obtain an understanding of dimensions of family interaction between families of autistic children belonging to the future for Autism Institute compared to families of typically developing children from Nizar Al-Halabi primary school primary in Jaramana city. More specifically the aim of the study is to compare cohesion, conflict resolution, as well as personal growth and systems maintenance. Assessment include Measure of family relations (Moos, 1974) translated to Arabic by Fathi Abdul Rahim and Hamid Feki (1980). The sample included thirty mothers divided in two groups, with 15 families in each group. Groups were chosen by matching age, sex. Findings reveal no significant differences between groups concerning average degrees in the dimensions of interaction (cohesion, conflict resolution) of family. However, differences in free expression of emotion were noted in favor of families of children with typical development. No significant differences were found in the dimensions of personal growth (independence, orientation towards the attainment and achievement, guidance mental cultural orientation, religious values and moral, differences in the area of positive recreational activities were significantly stronger in families of children with typical development. Concerning System Maintenance, findings reveal that (regulation. Nevertheless, found statistically significant differences concerning System Maintenance (controlling) in the direction of the families of children with typical development. Taken together these finding indicate the families of autistic children need support about dimensions of interaction (cohesion, conflict resolution) of family underscoring the relevance of practitioners with in Syria to take into account the differences in the dimensions.
