History of women’s vocational education in Finland the example of home economics : [Die Geschichte der beruflichen Bildung von Frauen in Finnland mit einem Fokus auf Hauswirtschaft]

• In Swedish research, folk high schools have been identifieed as important early providers of vocational education for women since the 19th century. These aspects have not been highlighted in Finnish research. Instead, schools for domestic education have been  focused. The purpose of this contribution was to compare firstly the quantitative establishement of folk high schools offering domestic courser with that of schools for domestic education Finland, and secondly the domestic content in these two forms of schools.
