• The Cultural Services of the French Embassy is pleased to announce the co-publication of DANSE: A Catalogue with les Presses du réel. The catalogue features texts by Bojana Bauer, Boris Charmatz, Douglas Dunn, Adrian Heathfield, Judy Hussie-Taylor, Emmanuelle Huynh, Ana Janevski, Latifa Laâbissi, Claudia La Rocco, Thomas J. Lax, Xavier Le Roy, Boyan Manchev, Felicia McCarren, Catherine Perret, Julie Perrin, Peggy Phelan, Will Rawls, Noémie Solomon, and Christophe Wavelet.Edited by Noemie Solomon, the book gathers newly-commissioned essays and dialogues that draw on DANSE: A French-American Festival of Performance and Ideas. This three-week presented by the Cultural Services presented in New York in 2014 featured 17 French contemporary dance projects and explored the mutual influences of French and American choreographic cultures. An interview with Noémie Solomon gives a short overview and background on the project.
