- This paper addresses the potential interface of trustworthiness as a condition that may be generated from dialogue, with specific reference to Esther Shalev-Gerz's The Berlin Inquiry. It suggests that within the work of participatory art that the notion of agreement or adhering to predetermined and presupposed agreement between artist and participant may be less trust motivated than may be assumed. It suggests that a particular set of conditions relating to uncertainty may actually be more generative of trust.
