  • The scalar polarizability constant [alpha]0 for the 10, 11 2S1/2 and 9 2D5/2 states of 133Cs was measured i Stark effect experiment on a collimated atomic beam. The states were reached by a two-step excitation procedure involving a single-mode dye laser.
