The fiber optic parametric amplifier and its applications for high-capacity communication and all-optical sampling

• The fiber optic parametric amplifier (FOPA) has a wide range of application in high-capacity fiber communications. We review some recent results such as the FOPA used for pulse generation, WDM amplification and all-optical sampling.
