  • Auto tunable hyperthermic response of temperature sensitive magnetic fluid in agarose gel containing Mn1−xZnxFe2O4 nanoparticles
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Journal of Alloys and Compounds. - : Elsevier BV. - 0925-8388 .- 1873-4669. ; 978
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The present study reports the synthesis and physico-chemical characterization of Mn1−xZnxFe2O4 (x = 0.5, 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1) nanoparticles-based magnetic fluids with reference to magnetic fluid hyperthermia. The properties of these fluids are studied using XRD, FTIR, TGA, VSM and the induction heating equipment operated at 330 kHz. The heating response of the fluids is investigated within the safety limit of H·f (4.8 *108 A/m-s). The study is also extended to simulate it for the agarose gel phantom system. The power absorption by these samples in distilled water and in agarose gel is calculated to compare with the experimentally observed value. To the best of the author's knowledge, no study of temperature sensitive magnetic fluid is reported on agarose gel, which simulates or phantom an in vivo condition. Results analysis show that the control of hyperthermia temperature is possible at lower fields and frequencies for the A91 sample with the smallest possible concentration, which can be acceptable for in vitro study.

  • Entangling AI and Expertise at Work : Tales From the Field
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Academy of Management Annual Meeting Proceedings. - : Academy of Management. - 0065-0668.
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The introduction of AI into organizations seems to affect expertise in unprecedented ways, requiring novel engagement with the concept of expertise. Scholars are bringing forth questions concerning whether and how AI can transform human expertise, if there is something distinctly human when it comes to expertise. Furthermore, the entanglement of AI and expertise may also induce changes in what knowledge and expertise is considered valuable, and how such expertise may be grown, maintained, and managed in organizations. This symposium brings together four research projects at the intersection of these emerging issues in technology and organizing, to present early observations and engage in collective discussion and sense making.

  • Anticorrosive evaluation of an environmentally benign chromone-thiazole hybrid with excellent anticancer activity
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Journal of Molecular Liquids. - : Elsevier B.V.. - 0167-7322 .- 1873-3166. ; 405
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The research article comprehensively presents salient applications of an environment friendly chromone-thiazole hybrid (CTH) as a potential anticancer molecule and as an organic inhibitor against mild steel (MS) corrosion. The SRB assay used for antiproliferative screening gives excellent IC50 (10.8 μM) against MDA-MB-231 (breast cancer) cell line. Further, CTH has excellent inhibition efficacy (∼97 % at 400 ppm) against MS corrosion in 1 M HCl. The in vitro results of anticancer and anticorrosive evaluation are in good agreement with the computational studies, which include docking, ADME, DFT, MD simulation, and toxicity prediction.

  • Comprehensive investigations of the synergistic effect of chalcone on the anti-corrosion activity of environmentally benign triazole hybrid
  • 2023
  • Ingår i: Inorganic Chemistry Communications. - : Elsevier B.V.. - 1387-7003 .- 1879-0259. ; 158
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This research article presents a comprehensive investigation into the corrosion inhibition performance of a 1,2,3-triazole-based hybrid (TCA) with incorporated triazole, chalcone, and amide moieties. The amalgamation of these pharmacologically active moieties synergistically enhances the ability of the TCA hybrid to form protective films on metal surfaces. The study employs a combination of experimental and theoretical methods to assess the corrosion inhibition properties. Multiple sophisticated techniques like weight loss, EIS, PDP, SEM, EDX, and UV–Vis spectroscopy reveals TCA's exceptional inhibitory efficiency (∼99 % at 200 ppm) for mild steel (MS). PDP analysis suggests a mixed-type inhibition mechanism. The experimental findings are further supported by the DFT calculations by exploring the interactions between the inhibitor and mild steel (MS). The remarkable corrosion inhibition efficacy of TCA along with its eco-friendly behavior aligns the present work with the growing global emphasis on sustainability.
