  • The Thermal Infrared Visual Object Tracking VOT-TIR2015 Challenge Results
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision. - : Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). - 9781467383905 ; , s. 639-651
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Thermal Infrared Visual Object Tracking challenge 2015, VOTTIR2015, aims at comparing short-term single-object visual trackers that work on thermal infrared (TIR) sequences and do not apply prelearned models of object appearance. VOT-TIR2015 is the first benchmark on short-term tracking in TIR sequences. Results of 24 trackers are presented. For each participating tracker, a short description is provided in the appendix. The VOT-TIR2015 challenge is based on the VOT2013 challenge, but introduces the following novelties: (i) the newly collected LTIR (Linköping TIR) dataset is used, (ii) the VOT2013 attributes are adapted to TIR data, (iii) the evaluation is performed using insights gained during VOT2013 and VOT2014 and is similar to VOT2015.

  • The Visual Object Tracking VOT2015 challenge results
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Proceedings 2015 IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision Workshops ICCVW 2015. - : IEEE. - 9780769557205 ; , s. 564-586
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The Visual Object Tracking challenge 2015, VOT2015, aims at comparing short-term single-object visual trackers that do not apply pre-learned models of object appearance. Results of 62 trackers are presented. The number of tested trackers makes VOT 2015 the largest benchmark on short-term tracking to date. For each participating tracker, a short description is provided in the appendix. Features of the VOT2015 challenge that go beyond its VOT2014 predecessor are: (i) a new VOT2015 dataset twice as large as in VOT2014 with full annotation of targets by rotated bounding boxes and per-frame attribute, (ii) extensions of the VOT2014 evaluation methodology by introduction of a new performance measure. The dataset, the evaluation kit as well as the results are publicly available at the challenge website(1).

  • Solvothermal synthesis of Sb2S3 nanowires on a large scale
  • 2003
  • Ingår i: Journal of Crystal Growth. - : Elsevier. - 0022-0248 .- 1873-5002. ; 258:1-2, s. 106-112
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Sb2S3 nanowires with high aspect ratios have been successfully prepared on a large scale using SbCl3 and Na2S as starting materials in ethylene glycol at 200°C for 10 h. Field emission scanning electron microscopy images and transmission electron microscopy images show that the nanowires have diameters in the range of 20–100 nm and lengths up to 50 μm. Diffuse reflection spectrum indicates that the as-prepared Sb2S3 nanowires have obvious quantum size effects. The effects of reaction parameters on the growth of nanowires were discussed. A possible mechanism on the formation of the Sb2S3 nanowires was proposed.

  • Self-preservation strategy for approaching global warming targets in the post-Paris Agreement era
  • 2020
  • Ingår i: Nature Communications. - : NATURE PUBLISHING GROUP. - 2041-1723. ; 11:1
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • A strategy that informs on countries' potential losses due to lack of climate action may facilitate global climate governance. Here, we quantify a distribution of mitigation effort whereby each country is economically better off than under current climate pledges. This effort-sharing optimizing approach applied to a 1.5 degrees C and 2 degrees C global warming threshold suggests self-preservation emissions trajectories to inform NDCs enhancement and long-term strategies. Results show that following the current emissions reduction efforts, the whole world would experience a washout of benefit, amounting to almost 126.68-616.12 trillion dollars until 2100 compared to 1.5 degrees C or well below 2 degrees C commensurate action. If countries are even unable to implement their current NDCs, the whole world would lose more benefit, almost 149.78-791.98 trillion dollars until 2100. On the contrary, all countries will be able to have a significant positive cumulative net income before 2100 if they follow the self-preservation strategy. The emission allocation strategies of global scenarios do not specify the potential benefits from extra climate mitigation efforts. Here the authors show that compared to the current Nationally Distributed Contributions, the proposed self-preservation strategy might generate 126-616 trillion dollars of additional benefits by 2100.

  • Sulfated heteropolysaccharides from Undaria pinnatifida : Structural characterization and transcript-metabolite profiling of immunostimulatory effects on RAW264.7 cells
  • 2022
  • Ingår i: FOOD CHEMISTRY-X. - : Elsevier. - 2590-1575. ; 13
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Investigation of the polysaccharides from an edible marine brown algae Undaria pinnatifida has led to obtaining three fractional sulfated polysaccharides UPPs 1-3 with molecular weights of 7.212 kDa, 13.924 kDa, and 55.875 kDa, respectively. All UPPs are composed of galactose, xylose, glucose, mannose, glucuronic acid, and mannuronic acid, while UPP-3 also consisted of fucose, arabinose, and fructose. The immunostimulatory assay revealed that UPP-3 had important effects on cell viability, nitric oxide levels, and secretion of cytokines TNF-alpha and IL-6 in RAW264.7 cells. Furthermore, the transcript-metabolite data along with western blot and immu-nofluorescent staining revealed that UPP-3 could stimulate the Toll-like receptor (TLR4) associated with the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kappa B) p65 signaling pathway of RAW264.7 cells. These findings of the immunomod-ulatory sulfated polysaccharide will provide a basic understanding to further exploitation of U. pinnatifida polysaccharides.
