  • Matching Light Field Datasets From Plenoptic Cameras 1.0 And 2.0
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of the 2018 3DTV Conference. - 9781538661253
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • The capturing of angular and spatial information of the scene using single camera is made possible by new emerging technology referred to as plenoptic camera. Both angular and spatial information, enable various post-processing applications, e.g. refocusing, synthetic aperture, super-resolution, and 3D scene reconstruction. In the past, multiple traditional cameras were used to capture the angular and spatial information of the scene. However, recently with the advancement in optical technology, plenoptic cameras have been introduced to capture the scene information. In a plenoptic camera, a lenslet array is placed between the main lens and the image sensor that allows multiplexing of the spatial and angular information onto a single image, also referred to as plenoptic image. The placement of the lenslet array relative to the main lens and the image sensor, results in two different optical design sof a plenoptic camera, also referred to as plenoptic 1.0 and plenoptic 2.0. In this work, we present a novel dataset captured with plenoptic 1.0 (Lytro Illum) and plenoptic 2.0(Raytrix R29) cameras for the same scenes under the same conditions. The dataset provides the benchmark contents for various research and development activities for plenoptic images.

  • The Plenoptic Dataset
  • 2018
  • Annan publikationabstract
    • The dataset is captured using two different plenoptic cameras, namely Illum from Lytro (based on plenoptic 1.0 model) and R29 from Raytrix (based on plenoptic 2.0 model). The scenes selected for the dataset were captured under controlled conditions. The cameras were mounted onto a multi-camera rig that was mechanically controlled to move the cameras with millimeter precision. In this way, both cameras captured the scene from the same viewpoint.

  • Evidence for Anisotropic Electronic Coupling of Charge Transfer States in Weakly Interacting Organic Semiconductor Mixtures
  • 2017
  • Ingår i: Journal of the American Chemical Society. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 0002-7863 .- 1520-5126. ; 139:25, s. 8474-8486
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We present a comprehensive investigation of the charge-transfer (CT) effect in weakly interacting organic semiconductor mixtures. The donor-acceptor pair diindenoperylene (DIP) and N,N′-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-1,7-dicyanoperylene-3,4/9,10-bis(dicarboxyimide) (PDIR-CN2) has been chosen as a model system. A wide range of experimental methods was used in order to characterize the structural, optical, electronic, and device properties of the intermolecular interactions. By detailed analysis, we demonstrate that the partial CT in this weakly interacting mixture does not have a strong effect on the ground state and does not generate a hybrid orbital. We also find a strong CT transition in light absorption as well as in photo- and electroluminescence. By using different layer sequences and compositions, we are able to distinguish electronic coupling in-plane vs out-of-plane and, thus, characterize the anisotropy of the CT state. Finally, we discuss the impact of CT exciton generation on charge-carrier transport and on the efficiency of photovoltaic devices.

  • Urinary BPA measurements in children and mothers from six European member states: Overall results and determinants of exposure.
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Environmental Research. - : Elsevier BV. - 1096-0953 .- 0013-9351. ; 141:Oct 13, s. 77-85
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • For the first time in Europe, both European-wide and country-specific levels of urinary Bisphenol A (BPA) were obtained through a harmonized protocol for participant recruitment, sampling and quality controlled biomarker analysis in the frame of the twin projects COPHES and DEMOCOPHES. 674 child-mother pairs were recruited through schools or population registers from six European member states (Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden). Children (5-12y) and mothers donated a urine sample. Information on socio-demographic characteristics, life style, dietary habits, and educational level of the parents was provided by mothers. After exclusion of urine samples with creatinine values below 300mg/L or above 3000mg/L, 653 children and 639 mothers remained for which BPA was measured. The geometric mean (with 95% confidence intervals) and 90th percentile were calculated for BPA separately in children and in mothers and were named "European reference values". After adjustment for confounders (age and creatinine), average exposure values in each country were compared with the mean of the "European reference values" by means of a weighted analysis of variance. Overall geometric means of all countries (95% CI) adjusted for urinary creatinine, age and gender were 2.04 (1.87-2.24) µg/L and 1.88 (1.71-2.07) µg/L for children (n=653) and mothers (n=639), respectively. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify significant environmental, geographical, personal or life style related determinants. Consumption of canned food and social class (represented by the highest educational level of the family) were the most important predictors for the urinary levels of BPA in mothers and children. The individual BPA levels in children were significantly correlated with the levels in their mothers (r=0.265, p<0.001), which may suggest a possible common environmental/dietary factor that influences the biomarker level in each pair. Exposure of the general European population was well below the current health-based guidance values and no participant had BPA values higher than the health-based guidance values.

  • Comprehensive genomic profiles of small cell lung cancer
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Nature. - : Springer Science and Business Media LLC. - 0028-0836 .- 1476-4687. ; 524:7563, s. 47-U73
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • We have sequenced the genomes of 110 small cell lung cancers (SCLC), one of the deadliest human cancers. In nearly all the tumours analysed we found bi-allelic inactivation of TP53 and RB1, sometimes by complex genomic rearrangements. Two tumours with wild-type RB1 had evidence of chromothripsis leading to overexpression of cyclin D1 (encoded by the CCND1 gene), revealing an alternative mechanism of Rb1 deregulation. Thus, loss of the tumour suppressors TP53 and RB1 is obligatory in SCLC. We discovered somatic genomic rearrangements of TP73 that create an oncogenic version of this gene, TP73Dex2/3. In rare cases, SCLC tumours exhibited kinase gene mutations, providing a possible therapeutic opportunity for individual patients. Finally, we observed inactivating mutations in NOTCH family genes in 25% of human SCLC. Accordingly, activation of Notch signalling in a pre-clinical SCLC mouse model strikingly reduced the number of tumours and extended the survival of the mutant mice. Furthermore, neuroendocrine gene expression was abrogated by Notch activity in SCLC cells. This first comprehensive study of somatic genome alterations in SCLC uncovers several key biological processes and identifies candidate therapeutic targets in this highly lethal form of cancer.
