  • α,3-Didehydro-5-methyl-6-hydroxytoluene: Matrix isolation of a diradical related to the neocarzinostatin chromophore
  • 1998
  • Ingår i: Journal of the American Chemical Society. - : American Chemical Society (ACS). - 0002-7863 .- 1520-5126. ; 120, s. 8480-8485
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • UV photolysis of 2,6-dimethylcyclohexa-2,5-dien-1-on-4-ylidene (4), matrix isolated in argon at 10 K, results in the formation of a labile species which is characterized as α,3-didehydro-5-methyl-6-hydroxybenzene (5) by comparison of the experimental IR spectrum with calculations at the ROSS-BLYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. This assignment is confirmed by isotopic labeling and by investigating the subsequent photochemistry of 5, which leads to 3-hydroxy-4-methylhepta-1,2,4-trien-6-yne (6). The ring opening of diradical 5 to eneyne-allene 6 corresponds to the reversion of a Myers cyclization.

  • The cutting performance of Al2O3 and Si3N4 ceramic cutting tools in the milling plywood
  • 2018
  • Ingår i: Advances in Applied Ceramics. - : Taylor & Francis. - 1743-6753 .- 1743-6761. ; 117:1, s. 16-22
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This research focuses on the cutting performance of Al2O3 and Si3N4 ceramic cutting tools in upmillingplywood, the results of which are as follows. First, whether the tool material is Al2O3 orSi3N4 ceramic, the cutting forces at low-speed cutting were less than those at high-speedcutting, and the machining quality at low-speed cutting was greater than that at high-speedcutting. Then, whether at low- or high-speed cutting, the cutting forces of Al2O3 cutting toolswere higher than those of Si3N4 cutting tools, and the machining quality of plywood milledby Al2O3 ceramic cutting tools was poorer than that milled by Si3N4 ceramic cutting tools. Finally, Si3N4 ceramic cutting tools were more suitable to machine the wooden productionswith much glue content than Al2O3 ceramic cutting tools for the better machined quality.

  • Impact of pattern dependency of SiGe layers grown selectively in source/drain on the performance of 22 nm node pMOSFETs
  • 2015
  • Ingår i: Solid-State Electronics. - : Elsevier. - 0038-1101 .- 1879-2405. ; 114, s. 43-48
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Pattern dependency of selective epitaxy of Si1-xGex (0.20 ≤ x ≤ 0.45) grown in recessed source/drain regions of 22 nm pMOSFETs has been studied. A complete substrate mapping over 200 mm wafers was performed and the transistors' characteristics were measured. The designed SiGe profile included a layer with Ge content of 40% at the bottom of recess (40 nm) and capped with 20% Ge as a sacrificial layer (20 nm) for silicide formation. The induced strain in the channel was simulated before and after silicidation. The variation of strain was localized and its effect on the transistors' performance was determined. The chips had a variety of SiGe profile depending on their distance (closest, intermediate and central) from the edge of the 200 mm wafer. SiGe layers with poor epi-quality were observed when the coverage of exposed Si of the chip was below 1%. This causes high Ge contents with layer thicknesses above the critical thickness.

  • Develop the ontology for internet commerce by reusing existing standards
  • 2003
  • Ingår i: Proceedings of International Workshop on Semantic Web Foundations and Applications Technologies (SWFAT). ; , s. 51-57
  • Konferensbidrag (refereegranskat)abstract
    • This paper attempts to present an approach to develop the ontology for Internet commerce by reusing the vocabulary from the existing standards, industry initiatives or XML-based frameworks. The approach allows ontology developers to share the common vocabulary and build it from a solid foundation. The paper includes two main contributions: 1. an approach to develop the ontology for the domain of Internet commerce; 2. the guidelines about what vocabulary can be reused from the existing standards.

  • Intercostal nerve transfer for biceps reinnervation in obstetrical brachial plexus palsy : a preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis for individual patient data systematic review using individualized fusion and comparison to supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting
  • 2024
  • Ingår i: Journal of Children's Orthopaedics. - : Sage Publications. - 1863-2521 .- 1863-2548. ; 18:1, s. 54-63
  • Forskningsöversikt (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Introduction: The objective of this study was to search existing literature on nerve reconstruction surgery in patients with obstetric brachial plexus palsy to determine whether treatment with supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting produced better elbow flexion outcomes compared to intercostal nerve transfer. Methods: This study was a systematic review following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis for Individual Patient Data guidelines. A systematic search was conducted using multiple databases. An ordinal regression model was used to analyze the effect of using supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting or intercostal nerve on elbow flexion with the two scores measured: elbow flexion Medical Research Council scores and Toronto active movements scale scores for elbow flexion. Results: A final patient database from 6 published articles consisted of 83 supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting patients (73 patients with Medical Research Council and 10 patients with Toronto score) and 7 published articles which consisted of 131 intercostal nerve patients (84 patients with Medical Research Council and 47 patients with Toronto scores). Patients who underwent supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting presented with an average Medical Research Council score of 3.9 ± 0.72 and an average Toronto score of 6.2 ± 2.2. Patients who underwent intercostal nerve transfer presented with an average Medical Research Council score of 3.9 ± 0.71 and an average Toronto score of 6.4 ± 1.2. There was no statistical difference between supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting and intercostal nerve transfer when utilizing Medical Research Council elbow flexion scores (ordinal regression: 0.3821, standard error: 0.4590, p = 0.2551) or Toronto Active Movement Scale score for elbow flexion (ordinal regression: 0.7154, standard error: 0.8487, p = 0.2188).Conclusion: Regardless of surgical intervention utilized (supraclavicular exploration and nerve grafting or intercostal nerve transfers), patients had excellent outcomes for elbow flexion following obstetric brachial plexus palsy when utilizing Medical Research Council or Toronto scores for elbow flexion. The difference between these scores was not statistically significant.Type of study/Level of evidence: Therapeutic Study: Investigating the Result of Treatment/level III.

  • Watching nanostructure growth: kinetically controlled diffusion and condensation of Xe in a surface metal organic network
  • 2019
  • Ingår i: Nanoscale. - : ROYAL SOC CHEMISTRY. - 2040-3364 .- 2040-3372. ; 11:11, s. 4895-4903
  • Tidskriftsartikel (refereegranskat)abstract
    • Diffusion, nucleation and growth provide the fundamental access to control nanostructure growth. In this study, the temperature activated diffusion of Xe at and between different compartments of an on-surface metal organic coordination network on Cu(111) has been visualized in real space. Xe atoms adsorbed at lower energy sites become mobile with increased temperature and gradually populate energetically more favourable binding sites or remain in a delocalized fluid form confined to diffusion along a topological subset of the on-surface network. These diffusion pathways can be studied individually under kinetic control via the chosen thermal energy kT of the sample and are determined by the network and sample architecture. The spatial distribution of Xe in its different modes of mobility and the time scales of the motion is revealed by Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) at variable temperatures up to 40 K and subsequent cooling to 4 K. The system provides insight into the diffusion of a van der Waals gas on a complex structured surface and its nucleation and coarsening/growth into larger condensates at elevated temperature under thermodynamic conditions.
